Console Command "say"

ive found thst the command "say" will not work on my dedicated server ???
all i get is unknown command "say" ????


WHAT CAN THE PROBLEM BE???

hiya,

I had exactly the same prob...are u doin a dedicated server from within the game...i.e are you going into "start game" and putting a x in the dedicated server option?

Cos if you are for some reason the say command isnt valid...i dont know why, i tried to find out myself but with no luck.

But there is another way to do this....u need to set up a proper dedicated server, which believe me once configured is soooo much easier to boot up, it completely by passes the game and jus loads up the console for ya...and then the say command will work, which is great if u use autokick announcements as they also work on it.

Use that and it will tell u everything u need to knw...doesnt take long to do & once your sorted....easy life mate.

Things have been significantly restructured since those posts. Here is the Crow King tutorial (http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9010). Its up under the Guides section, in the MOH area.

If you run into problems, try to be specific on what the problem is (what is it doing or not doing) and exactly what have you done (feel free to post copies of your command line for start up and config fiel, just x out the passwords.
