Hi all,
Cod has no main localization, in order to make a word filter the cgame_mp_x86.dll needs to be patched so admins have an option to activate a filter witch will check all team say and chat strings with a global\server_localization. Admins then can activate, add or subtract from the word filtering.
I am good with MOH scripting but a total noob with COD and game dll's. My assumption would be this type of fix would need to be added to an upcomming patch by IW themselves rather then hacked.
Does anyone here have direct contact with IW, or know of a way of hacking the cgame_mp_x86.dll

Or just use a servertool for cod to make word filters that give warnings and kicks and banns people that cant behave.

IW-inherent posts in the forums, I would send him a PM. I know I would love this feature in CoD. I was one of the first users/testers of the chat filter for MOH. That thing was awsome.

I'd much rather have a program that kicks/bans, like Cobra said. The issue is more of showing respect than just censoring the server.
Is there actually a program available that can do this?

So you want it to have the chat messages parsed for a list of strings then any matched strings replaced with @#$% type stuff?

It was great being able to play with or without your kids and not have to worry about language.
This is what gained the aa.com dedicated game server most of it's popularity. It's nice not having the F word used every other sentence.
Granted when we first used it, you had everyone trying to either break it or see what inappropriate words where replaced with. ::o):
Here is the link to the MOH version, download here (http://www.mohadmin.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=12&ttitle=MOH_Swear_Filter__V1.1_MOH:AA_only)
At the bottom of this file, the words replaced, some are kind of funny. Please disregard any reference to "rudedog" that was a joke from the authors, and should have been removed in the final version.

If you download the SW servertool.
Then you have the posibitlity to do this.
But it takes a litle time to set the SW tool up.
But i would think it is worth it when you get it running.
Like at my server if anyone talkes about cheat or are cheat accusing people in the server they will get a warning first and secon they will get kicked. of they come back and do it again they will get banned from the server.

Thanks for the reply,
yes and no,
While trying to find a way to make a filter I stumbled on a mod for quake3 called "alternatefire-2." this had a hacked version of the dll, witch parsed the say string with words listed also on the dll, it would then return an underscore,
I feel this was not ideal due to the fact it left no freedom of adding extra words, or variations of a words used to by-pass a filter.. it is also important to be able to just change a word rather then leave an underscore.
I for example may want to add the word "hacker" or "cheater" witch when broadcast on a server makes everyone paranoid and ask who.... or starts curse bashing and disrupts the fun. On MOH I changed this to "your up to something" this keeps peace and others in the dark yet still alerts the admin that someone might need to be watched. another example is "whats the IP, this returns our servers Ip
The words should be parsed yes! but the list should be excesable, and left up to the admins to decided what or what not belongs in thier front yard.

That's an awsome idea, that I never thougth of. I don't think Joe or red soccer thought of it as well.
