I run a server and i was goofing around with the commands on the cmdlist. I fell upon sayprivate command..
At first i didnt realize that u can send actual private messages to clients.
I use this to tell clients that are spamming or being a pain.. Or to even discuss something without anyone else reading it..
If this has been discussed,, disregard.. I couldnt find any info on it in the forums.
This is how it works.. Use rcon status, autokick, delator or any program that will give you the client number..
Lets say your clanmate or whom ever is client number 5. Open console and type>> sayprivate 5 + enter.. You get the normal chat box at bottom and enter text. The screen willl show in the threads. (private) 5 "name": Text.
You and your reader must be both alive/dead.. Not one of each.
For servers that have private slots.. It gets a little different..
For example I have 20 people server + 2 private slots..
If my client is number 5 in status, he would actually be number 6..
Slots 0,1 are the private slots.. So add 1 to the number and i get my intended target.. Try it it is very usefull sometimes... only people with rcon can get the numbers, and the numbers change after every map..
