View Full Version : Portable MG42 lag..............

Has anyone detected an ubersound error occuring with the portable MG42? While in rcon I find that an ubersound error warning pops up for each round the wpn fires. As you can imagine this is a bit bothersome. The server doesn't run any sound mods since its a dedicated machine. There is a realism mod running, SDR. The only adjustments I made to the mg42 was the number of rounds and damage it causes. Anyone have the same problem with other mods or is it the patch?

Well I made a fix for it, well sort of, I disabled the damn thing. It appears the problem is with the game sound. The base game ubersound file. Oh well, lets see if EA fixes it.

Well I tried several different ideas, one was to take out the ammo, which doesn't work because the gun will fire forever. So, I reduced the movement speed to something ungodly like .00009 so they basically can't move. I then reduced the rof so they fire one round about every 30 seconds. I also took out the damage so even if they do get a hit it does nothing to the target. I found this to be the quick fix. I will go back and look at it in the future.

Well if they can't figure it out while no admin is present then oh well. I don't know if I can make it so it can't be picked up. I could try I guess....
