hey all,

I have several servers I admin and want to have an autokick setup for each of them. But I only have one server machine here at home to use to run the autokick apps on...Is there a way to run three or more instances of autokick on one pc to monitor three or more remote servers? Am i making sense, here....im very tired 8O !

When i try to open a second instance of autokick on the home pc it just gives me an error and shuts down....I assume because it is already running. This would be a huge help to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for any suggestions!

You could get MOHAACI from http://www.invisiblewarriors.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=15 and this will solve you problem. just run the main program, then run MOHAACI det2, and MOHAACI det3 i think it goes all the way up to 4. You might need a registry fix in order to do this with the program as i am not sure if he included it in his updated version that was released today, but if you need it feel free to give me a shout and i can get you one.

I think you would need to install additional instances of Autokick to separate directories.

this doesnt work on a windows 2000 server machine because you just extract the files from the .cab file and dont really intall the application at all. I've tried putting a copy of the folder in a different partition and it still wont run more than one instance......

Anybody have more than one server they monitor?!?!?!?! How do you do it?

That is a challenge. I am pretty sure that multiple server support is high on the wish list for the next version of Autokick - but Ihave not seen even a rough guesstimate of when that will be done. I have looked at the Counter-Intelligence tool, but a lot of it is clearly labeled as CPU intensive. If you have done any performance checking of your servers, I am sure you have concluded that CPU usage is the bottleneck for Spearhead. Incredible as it seems, bandwidth is not the real constraint on how many slots you can host (at least for me and a couple others I have seen posting here).

I use Hammers tool because (1) it runs within the game engine so it does not add the overhead of swapping processes to the CPU's burden and (2) you can configure it uniquely for each server if you want differnt options.

The down sides are (1) no high ping kick, (2) more stuff (like text messages) require a server restart when you make a change than with external tools and (3) you have to copy any ban lists, options, etc to each server (flip side of each server having unique settings). But for me it is still the best option out there.

PS - Thanks Hammer, keep up the good work! :D
