As noted in my other post, I'm a 56Ker looking to host a rented dedicated server. Because I'm on a 56K connection, I'm looking for a server program or programs (like Delator, Autokick, Server Watch, CI, etc.) that is installed server side and can be FULLY monitored or controlled remotely.
I will not have a computer on 24/7 to monitor this program, but would like to be able to access and control it remotely. (That was redundant, wasn't it?)
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Floyd

OK, what am i missing here?
Are all of these suitable for installation on rented servers and run 24/7?
I was under the impression that many were running on computers at a remote location apart from the server or on dedicated servers on a DSL or cable connection. My bad?

Actually AutoKick can connect remotely. Putting it on and running from a server requires remote control of the server's desktop -- rotso ruck fella. But you can run some from your home PC and connect remotely.
You might talk to your hosting provider to see if they will start it for you.
You really need the program to run on the server if its for kicking high pings, etc. If you just want to rcon from outside of the game, then All Seeing Eye will do that just fine.

I think I understand the problem...maybe....
I was looking for something like a Delator that would run on the remote server 24/7, even when an admin wasn't monitoring, checking for cheats, skins, messaging, etc. But when being monitored would have full rcon control and could be reconfigured and restarted remotely.
I could see where that could wreak havoc with the other parties renting/sharing the same server should it hang.
What if one were to rent a dedicated box?
I hope I'm not as dumb as I am appearing to be...I'm just totally confused :? at this point...

That was what I was trying to point out is most won't give you full access to the server, but might be willing to start a delator/scanner/etc. for you. You would need to talk to the hosting provider. Also, some programs will only run as one instance, so if they do support it, only one user would be able to run it. If you have the whole box, chances are much better you will get what you want.
