You can use your old skins.txt file from Delator 1.0 on the new version (though every skin listed there will be tagged as "Cheatskin").

man, thanks for all the work!!! The anti-cheat community is grateful to say the least.
I am workin gon testing the delator 2 on my local area server (just for testing). I have run through the .pk3 setup, uploaded it to my server. When i run rcon delator I get a 'runtime error 9 subscript out of riange'
I have re-read the help file, and carefully gone through the settings again to be sure i havent missed something. When rcon first loads, it correctly identifies my OS as linux, and gives me three thumbs up for cheats disabled, delator running and dogtag running....but then gives me the run-time error.
Any ideas anyone?

mmmmmmmmmmm... is the rcon app running on an 98 system? MSWINSCK.OCX is known to be tricky on non-NT based windows... Right now is the only thing I can think of... I will try it myself on a 98 comp. and see if I can reproduce the bug (and I must say all the development was done using a linux box to run the game server).

Just catched the first bug :(
You can't change the punishment for the no fog cheat. Already fixed. If you're experiencing this problem, please re-download it as the distribution file has been updated.

ummmmm. i think its very late over there in Spain, my friend. you should be getting some zzz's after all the work. But, since youre up: nope the rcon app is running on windows 2000 sp3, connecting to a linux local server. Ill try running the rcon app on my windows 2000 server machine......

The truely sad thing I've noticed is the Spearhead glitch in regards to dumpuser not working on names with spaces. I'll do a search to see if I can find the fix for this as I coulda sworn I saw mention of it before.

yup. you have to upload the delator .pk3 file to the server for Dealtor 2 to scan the server.

Another user on aa.com is having the same problem. After checking the running mods, Delator does a 'getstatus' to find out the gametype, rotation and map, then a "set nextmap xxxx" to point it to the next one. Which is the last command issued to console, 'getstatus' or 'set'? If we can't sort it, you could setup your server with a different rconpassword and I would try to monitor it running the source code.

Ops! Yes, I've just realized what the problem is. When you issue an unknown command to a linux game server, it, unlike the windows version, replies with an empty string. When RconDelator connects to the server it sends a "versiondelator" command to find out if the server is there. On a windows server it receives an "Unknown command" reply; it will still work without many features (mainly, the players scan is very limited), but on a linux server it assumes it's not running. Luckily, there's a way to bypass this. Before pressing the 'Start' button, send a set versiondelator "2.0" command to the server (you can do this through Delator mini console as long as the server details are correct, which is the case). Let me know how it goes. You will have the features of the 1.0 version with the banning capabilities of this one and some added bonus (like the 'empty server' option and the $ip variable working). I'm working to fix this.

Just an update: While trying to fix the dumpuser command on Spearhead I've found the reason for the Runtime '9' Error :D . Guess what? again lowercase and uppercase (this time on the getstatus response). If I'm correct, you can fix it by making your rotation cvar lowercase, but I will update the exe with this changes and some minor fixes asap (I'm still trying to solve the dumpuser thing).

But it's not working for me (I think he was using the demo, as I did on my first tests). I've checked what is coming in and out the server, and I think Spearhead just replaces the (") character with an empty string.

Ok, uploaded the new version with the following fixes:
- Runtime error 9 should be gone
- Works on a linux server if ModDelator is not loaded
- ModDelator and DogTag detection fixed (previously it was not accurate)
I've tried the dumpuser on Spearhead with all the available ASCII delimiters: none of it worked :( ; also tried the kick "some one" command to no avail, which appears to confirm my theory of (") just melting away at some point, so maybe Spearhead support will never be available (unless EA fixes that command).
The link for the new exe is the same one (now it should be version 2.0.0.1). Sorry, you'll have to download the whole pack, but I don't want to have many executables available for download. Just replace the old RconDelator.exe with the new one on your installation.
Let me know how it works for you,

hi,
been trying to test delator 2 on my own private server before i let it run on our barry's. But for some reason it doesn't show the players on the server in rcon delator, and i tried testing it by putting no fog on and 3rd person, and yes it did show something in MOH console that i was running these "cheats" but no public msg like it should am i doing something wrong????

im not sure the new .exe is in the same download path, yochoy. I used the one from your post to Filrfront, but it still downloads the 2.0 version and the date of upload is still 12/21. Is there a new download link for the fixes you made (thanks again!!!!), or am i in need of another cup of coffee?

The players not showing is a brand new issued... did you have another rcon app running? Also check if you have the Silent mode box checked, as it prevents messages from being shown in the game (they should however recorded in the log file, so check it also).

mmmm i was wondering the same thing, i redownloaded from the link given, but i still get the error subscript out of range thing, is there a new link for download because if i compare the files between the old one and the new one they all look the same

small update:
I deleted the downloaded file and the pk3 file and downloaded again, extracted it started up moddelator and created a test msg and then made the file. I then placed the file in the MOH/main dir and now comes the error when i start up rcondelator it gives me the following error:
"System error &H8007007E (-21470247700). The specified module could not be found"
i click ok and then rcondelator shuts down again.
??

Check your RconDelator.exe is version 2.0.0.1 (sometimes Filefront has a delay when updating files).
If it's the right version then I need to research it further, please tell me exactly when it happens (after checking the additional info? while at it?). Thanks.

Unfortunately, I still get the runtime 9 error. It happens immediately after it gives me three thumbs up during the 'warming the engine' stage. Let me know if I can supply you with further information.

Let's try this:
Delete (or just move to another folder) your rcondelator.ini. Thus, Delator won't autostart scanning when you run it. Then setup again your server details and type on mini console "getstatus" (this command cannot be sent from the regular mohaa console). Don't click the start button, of course :-). Paste here the response (but those data which could be sensible, if any). I think it has something to do with your either your map rotation or another parameter contained in getstatus, so I'll try to fool mine to use your answer and see what happens.

Nop, that's correct; the distribution file doesn't include any .ini file, it's created everytime you exit the app, and since yours hangs before exit, the file is not created (I missed that point). Then just setup your details and type "getstatus". The miniconsole works even if the server is not being scanned.

I am sorry.. I should have been more specific. This error was generated on the Spearhead server. It generated no error on the MOHAA server.
FYI: I installed the pak file to my main and mainta folders. The spearhead server hosts the MOHAA maps. Server is WINXP based.

Ok, handgrenade just solved it; the problem appears when you're running a mixed gametypes mod. I'm working on it right now, trying to figure out how to disable the "nextmap" gadget on mixed servers :D

I am getting people warned all the time that they are not optimal...how is it being measured..?
For example it is warning a 56k'er who has rate at 5000
Also when I UNTICK the box,and restart , it still warns...i.e cant be turned off..

It warns whenever a user with ping <160 has a rate<7000 bytes. In Spain that means he has a broadband connection with a lower setting, but I'm just realising it's not an international standard. Modem connections are much better outside our country.
You were right, I missed to check the option status when warning players. That's already fixed. Now should be ping <100 and rate<=5000 be more accurate for international players?

The mod must be uploaded only once, sorry. As long as it is running on the server, you don't need to upload it every time (unless you want to change something related to messages, mapfixes, scheduled commands...)
Also, one of the features to be included in version 2.1 is support for multiple users; meaning that the config info is stored on a remote ftp, and then retrieved automatically. When Delator exits it stores again the updated info, thus, many users can have a common database for the same server, and as long as one of them is connected the server is protected with the common banlist, kicklist, etc... (that should be ideal for clan admins)
But first I would like to have this damn thing working as it should :D

Uffffffffffffff... you're running win98? It's usual to get that error when running the mswinsck.ocx on that system, but the worst part is that there's not available info on the issue, not even a practical description of the error on the whole internet (well, I haven't found it, that is). So sorry, I have no idea on what to do about this. Suggestions are welcome :(

thnx for the help yochoy, but and here it comes now that i have it running on my test server i asked a clanmember to connect with no fog on
he connected to the server but the rcondelator didn't see any player on there the screen in the bottom where the players+ip+skins should be stays empty
moddelator works, or atleast the msg'ing does but if the players don't show up in rcondelator it won't find any cheats. You got any idea about this?

Fixes:
- Now it runs on non-dedicated servers. However it wasn't designed for this and further problems may arise. If it happens, let me know, as it would be nice to add this capability to the program.
- The "non-optimized connection" setting has been optimized (ROFLMAO!). Now it warns whenever a player with ping <100 has a rate<5001. Let me know how it works for you. Also, if you uncheck the "Warn..." checkbox it doesn't warn you anymore. Really :D

Hello again, this time (again, lol) I think I trapped it: your test server is running version 1.10 of mohaa, and the output from the status command is a lot different than that of version 1.11 (which is the one Delator was developed for). I wish I could make it also compatible with that version, but I don't have it and I do really need a local version of the server in order to adapt all the code for the new output.
Or, if someone reading this thread knows of further differences between 1.10 and 1.11, I would really like to hear about them.

yochoy it's working now, and for all you people out there i tested it my self with no fog on and the moment i was on the server i got the msg cheat detected+ip adres+name+ what kind of cheat
this software looks very promising :)
gonna do some more testing with a known wallhack(pk3 file) and 3rd person, and some skins.
Btw yochoy can i add skins to that skinfile located in the delator directory?

I'm making my own little logger that should logg some server data.
This is how I obtain data (and their problems) :

I don't really have any idea how to seperate the ip, name, rate, clientnr -fields :) They come as this :

they are seperated with spaces, but what is the ****ing pattern :P
I can't use spaces to seperate them or the dots in ip numbers, cuz those characters could also be part of their name :(

this is not really a problem, but why I heaven's name can't the server send the same data and in the same order??? Sometimes the alliedskin is on top of the list, sometimes it's at the bottom...
I use a UDP connection but did you came across the same probs?
And sometimes I just retreive the skinname llied_arborne, where it should be allied_airborne :(
any help would be appreciated :)

mmm forgot to mention this but this is more of a suggestion among cheating you have: wallhack, doorhack, 3rd person, skins, no fog but i miss 2, the no recoil mod and picmip settings above 3 because if you put it higher then 3 you will see a lot more with a sniper

The no-recoil mod is addressed on the upcoming (and amazing, if I can say so) CRR (Ceal Rocco Realism), which we will release once I've this sorted. By the way, it only stops no-recoil for sniper rifles, but on automatic weapons I don't see any advantage using it (spread is still the same). And, to be sincere, it was too realistic when applied to auto weapons (after the third shot you'd end up pointing your weapon to the birds, since the gun doesn't get auto-centered anymore).
About the picmip, I've already tried that, but the results were unfortunate (in order to read it you have to set it, and it's not funny for legit players to have their settings changed against his will, ask some of my clan members 8O )

:D WOOHOOO.....seems to be scanning great, now, Yochoy. No run-time errors so far on mixed map, TDM or OBJ map games. Im psyched! Cant wait to nail those cheating rats!!!!!!

we just tried a so called wallhack that consist of only a pk3 file.
This makes all walls see through but delator did not find anything

Yes, it only detects them under certain circumstances, but that's not the app fault, it's because the way the cheat works. Sorry, but I can't give anymore details, even if most of the cheaters do indeed guess what's going on. However, it should detect 3rd person accurately, as well as modified binaries to my knowledge (last night someone entered CEAL server with an altered binary just to try it -his nick was DELATOR2TESTDONTBANME :D - and Delator catched him without probs).
And yes, you can add your own skins to the list (that part is almost the same code as in my old, beloved Delator 1.0)

Is it just me or is the download link not updated with 2.0.0.3 ?
Every time I d/l it I keep getting 2.0. Is there a place that shows what version I have?
Also when I run Mod Delator, I get runtime error 53 "file not found" right away. It appears I cannot run this part at all...
I know this is too little too late and in the wrong thread, but is there any way It can be patched so that rcon delator can show more than 5 slots at a time? Or make it so the window could just be larger so we could see more than 5 at a time? Id like to think that the industry standard is 16 slot server...Having to click and drag a slidebar can be sorta annoying during game, not to mention I usually end up clicking on something I dont want to...
Im not trying to complain man, I really appreciate your efforts and time spent. Thanks a ton.

version 2.0.0.3 is referring to the rcondelator version, not the download version. to check that you have the correct one, select properties/version on the rcondelator .exe file

The file not found error is odd indeed, I've just downloaded the zip and it's working ok. Check the following files are already in your Delator folder:
* moddelator.ini (should be there, but really it's not needed)
* vbzip10.dll (moddelator.exe should start without it, but hang when building the mod)
* various .dmf files (these are the map fixes, but the exe should start without them)
* delator.precache (it's the DMprecache used by delator, should start without it)
* commands.cfg and messages.cfg (these are created if not present)
* delator.dcf (this is most probably the file you're missing; in fact, if you put on the same folder both moddelator.exe and delator.dcf the exe should start without any problems)
Check the zip file for them and copy to the folder the ones you're missing.
And I take note of your suggestion on the number of slots. I was trying not to monopolize the screen of 800x600 users :)

Bug I see in both versions of delator: (also when sent as console command)
I have had players with <spaces> in their names that are using skins on the list and it doesnt see them.
If the <playername> has a <space> in it such as <PLAYER NAME> the dumpuser command does not return any info on the player/skins. By sending the playername enclosed in qoutes it works:
dumpuser "PLAYER NAME"
Can it be corrected? or am i just missing the boat here?

Although the cheats are all ticked (except binary) the delator is showing that cheats are ENABLED , with a cross...
Were we supposed to just extract all the new files over the previous versions, overwriting where asked?
What could this be?
OOPS just did ANOTHER restart and the cheats are now DISABLED..all now seems well...weird !!

The only file needed beside those ones is the Microsoft Windows Common Controls, which I didn't include because it's supposed to be present on every Windows computer. However, maybe your version is outdated or something (weird, since Rcon also uses it), so I will pack it into the file and reupload as soon as I end this post (already done! :) , try it).
Crash:
Are you running Rcon on a Spearhead server? Cause dumpuser doesn't work on it. Else, Delator does already include the user name delimited by quotes. try typing directly dumpuser "user name" on Delator console and tell me what it returns.
Padman:
The "Cheats" indicator refers to the cheats cvar on the server (many people has it enabled but don't even know this). However, the Delator check may fail on occasions (for example, if polled while server is busy changing maps), and so it appears as "Cheats enabled" when they're indeed disabled. Type "cheats" in console and check what it returns.

BTW I notice a thread below about a server running oddly since Delator 2.0 , I have also received messages from people on our server like this one
"It takes a lot longer than usual to change maps, there is some lag between rounds, and some sound effects seem to be lost, such as the "BOMB HAS BEEN PLANTED" message"
Now I am not pointing the finger at Delator in ANY way , but is there anything that could be common here? The other poster below mentioned very similar things...what are other people's experiences?

Well, I think those problems shouldn't be caused by Delator (as stated on the help file, I did put a strong work on making the server load minimal).
We run it on our server and we're not missing any sounds or experiencing delays on map changes (give it a try, 195.149.21.104)
Delator sends info to players once every 15 seconds if "no forced models" is checked, and also once on every player scan (the player scan can't be faster than one every minute). This info is minimal (just reseting 5 cvars). Also, if Rcon Delator is not connected to the server, then only the forced models info is sent if required (i.e.: when the admin checked that box).
Both timers do also execute some code on the server: the 15 seconds one puts "Nextmap" and "Server Time" on the ping screen if you're running DogTag (else it does nothing), whereas once every minute some basic operations are done (like increasing the time variables and checking if any command/message is scheduled). But I think that could hardly slow down a server running mohaa...
I don't know if it can lag a server with low specs, but I will really like to know about this. Also, if some other server mod is running on it that could be conflicting with Delator.

The "linea" variable should content the player line you want to process. Other than that "tasa" is spanish for "rate", "numero" =clientnumber, "puntos" = score, the rest should be self explanatory :-)
As for dumpuser, you should do a loop for the number of lines, checking if the one you're on contains the info you're looking for.

- is there a way you can send a command to a client that deschecks the force model option? It can be done with dogtags, but would it be possible to just make an application that send the same data to the clients as the mohserver does? You understand me?
- that nice table where all the players and their skins are put in, which control is that :P I made something that looks alike, but I used 32 input boxes hehe :)
I'm studying computer science (2nd year), I know basic C (console), learning java atm and off course visual basic. 4 months ago the only thing I could make in VB was a window with a button on it :)

I've been talking with Timber, programmer of Code Security. He made me a lot of suggestions to improve the mod part, including detecting modified binaries. They all are most valuable, and will be included on an inminent new version (however, the current settings will be fully compatible), as well as some improvements in the rcon app (such as the ability to order a screenshot as Code Security currently does).
I want thank Timber here for his efforts and feedback. He will be of course included in the credits as co-programmer.
Now, let's go with some answers:
padman, Falcon:
Ok, that's good news :D, but of course keep me updated if you see something weird which maybe related to Delator. EDIT: Falcon, just saw your other thread on this forum. Sorry, I only checked this one. Anyway, check if problems do also happen when Rcon Delator is not running, as in such case the info sent to the players is quite insignificant (or none at all if you uncheck the "stop forced models" box). Also, check if when a player leaves the server he appears as ZMBI on the status output, that is, to my knowledge, the only thing that could lag a server (the mod sending commands to a non-existent player) but I've seen it only happen when both the dedicated server and the player are on the same machine, which is not usual at all. All I can say is, before releasing the app, I had the mod running on a pentium III 850 and a Duron 1000 (not top level rigs ;) ) for almost a whole day and there was no problem with them, as there's not on our regular server (shared jolt), where it runs for two weeks now (with daily restarts to update stats).

- I have two news for you; one good, the other bad. The good one is yes, it can be done. The bad one is I don't know how :(. You should program a packet sniffer transparent for the server so that it could reside between the server and a player, logging all the communications between them, so that you could later replicate it in code. I did tried that (trying to make an auto TK for mohaa classic), but I wasn't able even to fullfill the first part.
- The control is ListView, I think. It's included in windows common controls, you should add it to your project. Also, when programming in VB http://msdn.microsoft.com is a great help, as well as http://www.experts-exchange.com
I did indeed started CS (mmm, computer science, not counter-strike) at the university, but there was too much maths and little programming, so I left (which I wish I had not)

Yet another update...
I've just found that you can still get the "Out of range" error. I fixed it on startup but not on subsequent scans (stupid me :oops:), so I'm going to fix it. However, I would like to add also the Timber suggestions on this release, so maybe it will took me one day or so to do it all.
Of course as soon as the new version is ready I will post here.

that will follow with the problem: "There's already an rcon Delator monitoring this server"
then i have to go to the server and fill in console "rcon xxx quit" to make it possible to run rcon Delator again.

Also, you'll be warned if you try to connect to a server when another Rcon Delator is monitoring it so that it doesn't get overloaded (there's really not benefit on having two rcon clients polling the same server, anyways). However, this can cause a problem when the connection between server and Delator gets lost for some reason. If you keep getting the "Already monitored" error and you're sure no other Rcon Delator is polling the server, type "set sv_delator 0" on the server console (you can also use RconDelator Mini Console for this).
So, basically, if your RconDelator hangs, it doesn't disconnect from the server, and then you get the error when trying to connect with the new one. As said, just type "set sv_delator 0" on mini-console and press the start button :)

P.D.: Just a tip: if you type "set rconpassword xxx" on your mohaa console you no longer need to type it in every command. And you can type any command (without any rcon prefix) on Delator's mini console, it's effective even when not scanning as long as your server details are correct).

Great work, but i am getting a problem. the program runs till i get two people in the server. then i get a "run time error 6....overflow" I have taken my 3 nade mod off and put in DMz's dog tags. there are NO other mods on the server. My clan m8 in the UK is getting the same error.
is there anything i can do.

which rotation is it running?
if possible, post a copy of your "status" output with two players (you can do it so: start rcon delator, press the stop button, when there are 2 players on the server type "status" on delator miniconsole, press "copy" and paste it here).

but a funny thing has happened. i started it up again and it has been running for 10 mins with 15 people in the server and NO problems.

i found the problem.
when it was running good. then while we were testing it on my server we used a wall hack called fuzzy2.pk3. and as soon as my guy went into the server and delator crashed.
i will gladly send you the hack so you can make some adjustment to delator. it looks like a great progam and i cant wait till all the bugs are worked out.

I think I found my problem. I dont think the instructions tell me that i should put the delator folder i unzipped to to run ModDelator in my main folder first.
Someone point out to me where it says that it needs to be in your main folder to run?

Sounds like your not getting enough zzzz's, my friend! Well, I have already nailed several cheaters on my server, thanks to you. However, sometimes when Delator 2 is scanning the players in-game, it gets stuck and sort of goes from 'start' to 'stop' and back over and over again. It doesnt lock up the application cause i can manually click 'stop' and then restart it. but it appears to have some trouble scanning the players at differnt times.
Also, twice when i stated Delator 2 it gave me a 'runtime error 6 overflow' error after scanning three players.

But the only thing i'd like to see is a ping-kick and the possibility for name-ban cause of the dynamic IP's
I am using Mohaa CI for that but i noticed Mohaa CI uses massive CPU-power at scanning-time, up to 100 %.
Delator uses almost none.
So an added ping-kick and name-ban would be cool.........thx ;)

You won't find it in the help cause it's not supposed to be like that... Right after loading the exe retrieves the folder where it's located and looks for the required files on that folder. So as long as delator.dcf and moddelator.exe are on the same folder there shouldn't be any problem... Worst even, I don't have any clue why it has to be on the main folder in order to run (it was compiled on a different folder, even my path is spanish and thus different from yours...) Running it on Spearhead or Mohaa classic shouldn't make a difference also (other than Spearhead's dumpuser not working on player with spaces in his name).
Also, twice when i stated Delator 2 it gave me a 'runtime error 6 overflow' error after scanning three players.
One user was reporting the same error over aa.com forums. Before I could check that post he found the answer on his own: the "Scan players" value was too low (1 every minute). Well, UDP petitions need slightly more than half a second in order to be correctly processed, so maybe if your server is too crowded 1 minute is not enough to scan all the players (keep in mind that console messages require the same amount of time, and the "Police server" setting is usually lower than the first one). I will try disabling the scan timer while Delator is scanning the server, that should work.

I think this could be related to the issue above (redundant petitions to the server). Once I had the "overflow" sorted out check if you keep getting the error.

I don't like the "high-ping" kick feature cause nobody can lag a server by having a modem connection (UDP connections are asynchronous and thus the server doesn't wait for the players output to update the world). I can add it on a future version, but right now I want to fix the current features before adding new ones (same applies to the "name ban").

Well, since it will be evident very soon, yes, it only detects wallhacks which modify the newconfig.cfg

As said, I think you're having the same issue as Slain. The server being Spearhead or classic shouldn't make a difference.

Well, Yo, I have to give you a great bow for a work well done. Unfortunately even cheats besides skins are impossible to detect on a Spearhead server if the name contains a space in it. Someone suggested the command "clientinfo X", where X is the client number, for doing a dumpuser on the TMT forums, but I don't think this works either. I just tried a ton of different things using the mini-console and still no help. Looks like EA really screwed us.

Thanks for the reply. My 'scan players' interval has always been the default of 3 minutes, but is does seem related somehow to how many players are in the game when i run delator 2. In the morning, if I start Dealtor 2 when there are maybe 5-6 players on, it seems to start and run without problem. Then later in the day when I come home and the server is full, it is doing the 'grey out' to 'black', 'start' to 'scanning' flashing back and forth. It seems to be starting and stopping its scan every second to me.

Well, some new news :P
I've already finished a new exe which disables the timer while Delator is scanning the server, thus scans shouldn't overlap anymore (which I think is the cause for the overflow issue). Also, it should solve forever the Runtime 9 error. And fixes a minor annoyance; when typing on miniconsole the focus was lost everytime you send a command, so you had to click again on the textbox in order to send a second one; now the focus stays on the text input area as long as you don't move it somewhere else. Also, ModDelator allows you to launch the CodeSecurity script.
Boo: Theoretically, it could be solved. Since Spearhead deletes the quotes symbol when a rcon order is received, the trick would be hex-edititing the moh_spearhead.exe and changing the offending (") with an inocuous symbol. Unfortunately, after a first check there are 1008 (") on the spearhead executable (as of version 2.00), and I don't feel in the mood to do 1008 checks right now ;). However, I will research further and see if something can be done about this.
Oh! sorry, I can't upload the new exe just now, my family is already in home as I'm typing this, so come back tomorrow and check for your Xmas gift.

I already installed that one on the server.....running fine along with Delator 2. Only thing is you'll need to add the "exec global/codesecurity.scr" to the "DMprecache" in the zzzzz.delator.pk3
So what you are saying is that you added it to Delator so i can uninstall that Code's Security from server ?

The strange thing is that it stops on the same player all the time.
And i only scan players every 3 minuts.
And when i kicked the one it was stopping on. Then it was working well again.
And when he did come back into the server It stoped again.

here is another problem
i run delator 2.0 on the server ip of 66.150.209.10
when i go into the server and it scans me it crashes.
i am not testing it with know cheats that crash it, and i do not have any cheats in my main. i have the honesty config installed.
i run delator from my laptop and play on my pc. they are linked by a simple home netwok.
any suggestions?

Well, it took me a bit more but I think it's worth the wait. ModDelator is now ver.2.0.0.1, RconDelator is 2.0.0.4. Here is the list of new fixes/features:
- Timer is stopped while scanning, so scans shouldn't overlap anymore (that was probably causing Delator to get stuck at some point).
- MiniConsole doesn't lose focus anymore while sending commands.
- Included support for Code Security in ModDelator; also, the output of both mods is now compatible.
- Improved detection for modified binaries.
- Included detection for Clearview (the latest variant of no fog)
- Fixed a potential bug with accumulated warnings/kicks.
- Fixed (at least one cause of) the 'Overflow' error.
The Clearview detection will be enabled as long as the nofog is.
This update is backwards compatible only to some extent: if want to use the improved modified binaries detection or Clearview detection, then you should run ModDelator.exe and recompile your mod. I would really encourage everyone to update to this version and recompile the zzzzz-moddelator.pk3 file.
The cause for the overflow was using the "Cint" funtion to evaluate the players rate. Cint returns a number between 0 and 32768. Thus, if the player used a rate of LAN (35000) or even higher (99999) it caused an overflow on said function. With the new implementation there should no problems. Thanks CobraEF for the feedback (and BigBuf, this could be the cause of your problems, since you were playing on LAN).
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Good News!! Code Security and Delator will be merged on a single tool on the near future (next release). This will result in the most powerful server-side only anti-cheat tool, since you will be able to even order a screenshot to every player just by clicking a button (and also keep log of who has already mailed you the pic and automatically ban those who didn't after a few days). You would be able also to swap the players team with one click, and a lot of additional features. And, most important, the modified binaries detection will be better than ever before. Timber, the CodeSecurity creator, and I will start working on our joint project as soon as I manage to fix all the VB errors already present on RconDelator.

I already installed that one on the server.....running fine along with Delator 2. Only thing is you'll need to add the "exec global/codesecurity.scr" to the "DMprecache" in the zzzzz.delator.pk3
So what you are saying is that you added it to Delator so i can uninstall that Code's Security from server ?
So far, said support means you can launch Code Security by checking his box on "additional scripts", and also, that RconDelator can process "Code Security" output to some extent.
So far, Code Security provides a higher security level to your server, so if you want to use the "instascreenshot" feature and some additional cappabilities unique to CS you should still run both scripts.
But on the next release (major release, once I fix all the current bugs on Delator), you will be able to setup/use all the CS & Delator features via a VB shell.

i have a question though, i got my friend to come in with nofog, and it took at least 4 rounds before delator caught him, is it supposed to take this long?
i'd like to say there is a way to toggle forcemodels on and off, if you got to www.pjgsquad.com and then to downloads, and download there honesty config enforcer 1.1 you will find that is can also force models on and off, it is controlled by a server-side cvar they create and assign it to 0 or 1, just incase you were wondering..
i'd also like to ask yochoy if you can make it so delator can change the team a player is on or make a team locked to players who don't have your clans tag infront of their name, i've always wanted something like that, but nothing has ever been available.

In theory, Delator should catch the cheater on the first pass (actually, the second one; on the first one right after starting the mod part isn't active). However, given the nature of UDP transmissions it can fail sometimes on the real world (for example, if he sends the "dumpuser" command while other petition is processed, a map change is on the way or the server is being polled by ASE/GS). Missing it for three times in a row is not usual, but maybe synchronization between mod/rcon failed on the first attempt and that's why it took a little longer.
Yes, you can indeed disable force models through ModDelator, but DogMeat is recommended since it gives you further control over it. If you're talking about disabling/enabling force models in-game, it's really easy to do. Maybe on the 2.1 version.
Also on 2.1 you'll be able to force players to change teams (all the players). Forcing the change for just one of them is a bit harder, but I think it can be done.
And to end up with 2.1 features, I think I've just found a way to totally disable forced models (the current protection can be bypassed), thus rendering those famous glowing skins useless. But don't cheer for it yet, I need to think about it further.

if you can detect .pk3s running on a users system, is there any way to check the CRC of the mohaa.exe file?
maybe instead of making individuals change team, maybe you could lock a team so no one can join it, and when another one of your clan members come in, you can unlock the team, let them in, then lock it again, i doubt mohaa supports that kind of feature though...

Well, I'm really having a great fun doing this (I like coding), and seeing how after only 4 days Delator 2.0 has made it into that forum (smile, they're looking at us). Delator 1.0 required a lot of week before being even mentioned there :D
Quik, Delator doesn't have access to the client computer, that's why modified binaries detection is not yet perfect. But it's improving and once the codesecurity code is totally adopted it should be very effective. Locking a team is not possible, I think, but we'll research on these features.

I just downloaded it and in stalled it,but i keep on getting runtime error 2 when ever i try to start it. I have a p4 1.8 with windows xp and a dsl connection.can anyone help me resolve my problem?
one easy thing to do to make delator 2.0 is to add different ways of spelling some of the cheat-protected cvars...
ex: nofog as n0fog, nof0g, or n0f0g
farplane as f4rplan3, f4rpl4n3 etc...
i'm guessing this would catch alot more cheaters.
it's funny how you can access the clients cvars, because you can change them with scripts and such... so if you have the ability to change their cvars, wouldn't there be a way to list their cvars?

Deathwish: Bad news for you :( , just found this on another forum when researching your problem. The thread is about "Runtime Error 2" (http://www.vbip.com/forum/topic.asp?id=4857):
The problem is XP Home edition. There is a bug in the networking. BUT it only occurs with the VB winsock control. MS knows all about it. I spent 3 days on the phone with them before they gave up and returned my 250.00 fee.
They currently are not working on a fix for this. You will need to go to another operating system. This works fine on XP Pro, but DO NOT UPGRADE your XP Home to XP Pro. The problem will follow you. You need to replace the OS. It will give you the option when you do the install.

well damn, after running it for about 6 hours, i'm getting a ton of 6 and 9 errors :P
anyhows, if you don't change the nofog to nof0g and all the other variations, what is delator 2.0 going to check the .cfg or .exe file against? all the .cfg files are different for eveyrones computer and our server doesn't have a copy of mohaa.exe on it, there are also cracked and non-cracked versions of the .exe out there, several infact....
if it checks modified .pk3's how will it check for modified cheat-protected cvar names? these aren't stored in a .pk3 even...
i found out that the 6 and 9 errors most commonly occur when you are playing mohaa in your server, when it has 18+ people, and when you are running delator on the same computer.

Does that mean you are running it on a non-dedicated server? (Delator is not intended to do that, even if now it can do it). If you could somehow pm me the output of a status command on the server when Delator hangs that would be very useful (for example, right after hanging, restart it type "status" on miniconsole, press copy and paste the result on a private message)

So far, by checking the codesecurity box it will launch Code Security along with Delator (previously, you had to edit the DMprecache in order to launch Code Security). Code Security does already reset the same cvars as ModDelator, and now RconDelator can also monitor those changes (on previous versions CS and Delator used different values to reset the cvars and it could cause problems when running both mods on the same server); and you'll be able to use the CS features via rcon, such as instashot or team change. Once they are merged all those features will be available from RconDelator (ie, by clicking a button), as well as improved modified binaries detection (the one used by CS is better than the featured by Delator).

Code Security is another anti-cheat mod. The download address is included on the ModDelator description (on the Miscellaneous tab).
And just a reminder: when using miniconsole do not use the "rcon " prefix (it's already included by the program). On the next version I will work it so that it will be indifferent either if you type it or not. The "server already monitored" message should only appear when RconDelator hangs and you run it again (since the first instance didn't disconnect from the game server).

hmm, i tried the modified binaries detection, and it kicked me like it was supposed to, but then, the weirdest thing happened, i turned off modified binaries detection, but delator started to kick me anyway without recording it to the log..
i just upgraded to the Dec.25 release of Delator if that'll help you.. anyone know why its doing this?

About you being kicked, it looks to me like your IP was added to the ban list (these kicks doesn't appear in the log, I missed that). Please check it since that part of the code is apparently correct. Right now Delator doesn't log the modified file or cvars, but there's no problem adding this (I didn't because personally I don't care too much about it 8), but if people is interested I can add it into the code).
P.D.: Also, if you're being kicked cause you're on the ban list, other players on the server will see a console message "IP:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx was banned from this server on [date]. Reason: whatever-the-reason-is".

yochoy.. i think i have found the weirdest bug in you program. when running rcondelator.exe on my computer while playing mohaa in windowed mode my mouse will not stay in the mohaa screen, and everytime i scroll to the edges, the mouse flies out of the screen, when i am not running delator, this does not happen... i cannot imagine delator does anything with the mouse config, but it is certainly very weird.

BlackDog: Taking the server output to miniconsole would require real time logging of every event, which is not allowed by most providers. So far I'm trying to make Delator useful for the largest number possible of admins.
Quik: I think that's not related to Delator, I've seen it happen while checking the mail on the background. I think it depends on the mouse position (in windows) when you start mohaa (the top left of the screen in-game is not the top-left on your windows desktop).

Yes I have the same problem running MOH in windowed mode and running just about any other admin prg. It has nothing to do with delator specificly as much as windows i believe, sux though. This means that if I am running virtually any admin tool and I'm in windowed mod, I rarely play. I often run in windowed mode since I bounce in and out of MOH quite often and it takes a min or so to go back into full screen mode.
yea, i feel your pain.. ea did a bad job with the windowed mode mouse thing... even in windowed mode, with no admin prgs running, the mouse still bounces out of the window all the time, yochoy, you wouldn't happen to know a way around that other than fullscreen would ya? ;)
anyways, i'm running delator on my other computer 24/7 hopefully now. if only it ran in linux, then i could run it on my router :D

i'm still having problems opening delator 2.0. I can download it, but it will not allow me to open the file to download it. I have deleted the file and redownloaded it time and time again. I keep getting the error the the zip file is invalid or corrupted. I have even uninstalled the first DElator and i get nothing. I restart my puter each time i download it and take it off but the size file I'm getting is 559 KB (573,297 bytes) and thats it. Any way someone can send it to me or send me to another locality to downlaod it.

Cookie: You're having problems with filefront: it sends you the right bytes, but the wrong number of them (573,297 bytes was the size a pair of versions ago). I've experienced this myself with other files, I think their synchronization between ftp servers/www interface fails at some point. If you have installed the "filefront client" try the link "download directly from our servers". Usually, it's solved on a few hours, but if you're still having the same problem I'll try to setup a mirror for you tomorrow.

Im still having a periodic problem with Delator 2 seeming to get stuck on the beginning of a scan. It doesnt give me any error codes, just sort of bucks like a 16 learning to drive a standared shift car ;) It flashes between 'start' and 'stop' back and forth.....weird. I wonder if its something running on my server thats interferring, or maybe a certain player that cant be scanned properly?
Its frustrating because while its running it works great - ive busted about 2 dozen cheaters already, plus the non-optimized connection has helped dozens of gamners correct their network rate.
anybody else have this problem? I thought at first it was that my server is full (22 players), but thats not it - sometimes it runs for hours while the server is full. HELP!!!!!

Well first let me say Thank you YoChoy for the awsome program!!! We are using it with no problems and we love it. We were fans of version 1.0 and used it for quite a while.
We do have one question. Is there a way to put our own banned IP's we have picked up over time, or any that we just want to bann for other reasons than cheating. We have not figured out a way to add IP's to the ban list. ie our banned ip's from CK AutoKick.
ok yochoy.. i got a question...
if you edit your cvars and change farplane to f4rplane, delator gives the cvar a hacked value, if it sees the value of the cvar as hacked, then it kicks you right?
well, i tried that, and it worked like a charm, but then when i rebooted my mohaa, the values were still set to hacked which means if i entered the server even with my cheats off, delator would still kick me... am i making sense here?

Handgrenade: I'll tweak the source code with the output you passed me and see if I can replay it (the hard thing about fixing all this errors is most of the time I don't have a way to get them, not the errors itselves).

Quik: The "modified binaries" work as long as the binaries are modified, I mean, it really doesn't matter if you're cheating or not; as long as your binary is modified for that purpose, it will warn/kick/ban you.
And I'm sure you all guess what time is now in Spain... :D

Well, what i did was i caused a warning/kick/ban on my server so it was logged. Then i renamed the warnings/kicks/bans.lst to warned/kicks/bans.txt
After this you can open these with notepad.......just copy the line that is in that file a few times and edit the IP, name, and the rest into the known cheaters IP and name. Save the file and rename back to warnings/kicks/bans.lst
Ofcourse do all of this with Delator NOT running. After all the editing, start Delator and it should all be in "penalies management".

I have noticed this runtime error occur only IF the server goes down for whatever reason...I can reproduce the error everytime if I shut it down...
does that give you any clues?
Also can the banned ip NOT be an import , but a text file...it would be VERY useful to be able to add manually at any time

News from the front:
I think Filefront has managed to do just what I was trying to avoid, that is, having a lot of versions distributed simultaneously. I say this because I have had further news of people having the "file corrupted" warning. Also, the pic posted by Noctis shows that most probably he's running a older version of Rcon Delator. On the newest ones the "DMz DogTag - Not Running" message should appear on a single line, like this:

That's also my fault for not including the whole version number anywhere in the program.
Also, when I tried to poll a server after closing it, I got the same error Handgrenade is having, i.e., Delator starting/stopping scanning endlessly.
BlackRaider: Maybe you also are running an older version (if the error happened when that player had a rate>32000, this is almost sure). Anyway, read below and get the latest version from the "safe" link.
Benman, Padman: The banlist is just a text file, in fact, I've edited it a lot of times on notepad to change "Admin. Ban" with "Team Killer". Benman, maybe you reinstalled Delator after updating your list?? Anyway, you can add any entry to the ban/kick/warning file as long as Delator isn't running (or it would overwrite those files on exit); and as long as you use the correct delimiter (the small square). Also, on the ban list, note that it has a delimiter at the end of the line (for indefinite bans only).
So, finally, here are the new features. RconDelator is 2.0.0.5, ModDelator is 2.0.0.2 :
- Fixed the start/stop scanning bug (when the server quits; I don't know if there are further ways to replicate this).
- Modified binaries detection is now enabled by default on RconDelator (but if you have a previous rcondelator.ini your existing setting will be used)
- Fixed a small glitch on ModDelator interface when deleting messages (functionality is still the same, no other code modified).
- Both apps now display the whole version number on the title bar.

Already know what happened....... edited bans.txt, but forgot to rename it to bans.lst Delator makes a new bans.lst, hehe. When i checked it, it ofcourse was empty.......but the bans.txt was still there..... :D

No really. It's hardcoded on mohaa. You can however change how many seconds after spawn will pass before the message is displayed (currently 10 seconds, so that players on slower machines don't miss it). But no other parameter can be configured.

I admin 5 public servers, that have 20 to 24 players at a time! I disabled non-optimized connections, no fog, binaries and white walls! Also played with the time setttings 35sec to 120sec?

Thanks again for the efforts to work on Delator 2 - you are truly dedicated! I believe I have read your last post right: that moddelator should be version 2.0.0.2 and rcondelator should be version 2.0.0.5
BUT, my download from both locations (filefront and your clan site) show moddelator as version 2.0.0.1 and rcondelator as version 2.0.0.5

I have a clan member who is running mohaa on a Mac (didnt know anybody did that!), and he swears that he isnt running any cheats (I actually beleive him, too heh heh), but everytime he joins the game when Delator 2 is running, it says he is running 'no-fog' and 'altered binaries'.
He claims that last night he ran a fresh install of the game, patched it and it still claims he has the cheats running. He has gone to such lengths with me to test this out (and is a reliable and mature member of the clan), that I cannot believe he is running these cheats. Is this a possible bug? And if so, might other Mac users (all three of em!!) also be accused of running cheats?

Gestapo: Which version number appears on the title bar of both apps?
CobraEF: Delator diagnoses a Wallhack/Doorhack by the value of r_novis. That cvar, when set to 1, tells the engine to draw even those polygons the user can't currently see (for example, those place on the other side of a door, that's why they use it). It's also used with no fog and chameleon skins. In your dump it appears as 0, but really the only way for Delator to act like that is r_novis with a 1 value. The exact line is:
If InStr(usuario, "r_novis : 1") <> 0 And Cheats(2).Value = 1 Then ...
(Cheats(2) is the related checkbox, some spaces are missing because of html). I've never seen it miss it, no player on my server on this two weeks has been ever erroneously charged of using a wallhack (or another cheat), and the Mac issue I'm going to discuse below doesn't apply here (he's using XP). It's really up to you I think... The log is previous or after he got kicked?
Handgrenade: About the version number, it's correctly displayed on the title bar, but I forgot to increase the version counter for ModDelator and it still appears as 2.0.0.1 on the exe properties. But it's 2.0.0.2, I will fix it :) About the Mac issue, unfortunately nor me or any of my clan's members has a Mac, so I can't do the appropiate checks, but that's how it works (roughly). All the cvars set by Delator cannot be set again once you're connected to the server, cause they're all "cheat protected" (if you do a cvarlist they should appear as U C blahblahblah, the C meaning cheat protection). Delator tries to modify his value; if he's able to do it then the cvar has been hexedited, meaning modified binaries. Now, maybe on the Mac version the cheat protection is not running? if that's true, then Mac users should be able to modified them in game and implications are... can you run some tests and see they are able to? (for example, asking them to type "set r_novis 1" on console when they're already connected to the server and see what happens). Also wether he's running some sort of no-CD or not. That feedback would be very useful (I could add some kind of protection so that checks won't run on Mac users).
Quik: Delator detects changes mainly on the mohaa.exe, and some dll's on the near future. No Recoil is an entirely different kind of cheat (modified tiki) wich can't be detected/stopped with the Delator approach. However, there are ways to stop it (CRR realism, the custom CEAL realism for mohaa classic, already does that for snipers). On automatic weapons it's a useless cheat, however, since the bullet spread is still the same as when it's not running. If you're interested on CRR, it's now on his second beta day, but it's not as complex as Delator (not at all!), so probably we'll publish it this week (for MoHaa classic). Some additional features: healthpacks are limited to 25 health points, the content of the current clip is lost when you reload (for automatic weapons, of course), on non-respawn games healthpacks and weapons don't disappear (but you can totally disable them if you wish), players start bleeding when hit for a certain amount (fully customizable by the admin). You can check it on CEAL server.

Thanks for the comments about my Mac-loving clan member. If he wasnt such a good guy, I would just tell him 'tough luck'.......how hard would it be for you to add some sort of block on scanning Mac users? I know it doesnt apply to many gamers, but until I can run some tests, it appears that some gamers will be accussed of cheating when they arent.
I will get together with the mac user and run some tests to see when and if he can change the cvars in question. But why would it say he is running 'clearview' if he isnt?

It will be included on future releases of Delator.
Usage:
Copy your bans.lst to a temp folder. Copy your bannedip.txt to the same folder. Copy ak-importer.exe to the same folder. Run it. You're done, bans.lst contains now the updated info. Don't delete your original files until you run Delator with the new bans.lst to check the import was correctly done.

Hi all....i admin a remote linux server that runs alot of custom maps. People are constantly asking what's the next map. When i saw Delator could put that message up i was overjoyed. Problem is....i cant seem to get the message to show on screen. It shows what the next map is on the ping screen but not on the in game screen. Last night i was on the server for about 5 hours and actually caught the message showing once. Never to be seen again. Anybody else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

chingaman: Per map messages are displayed 10 seconds after spawn. Check that the map name is correctly displayed (ie, if your rotation is "dm/mohdm1 dm/smallcity" the trigger should be "dm/mohdm1" - path is required). Also, against my first intuition, low priority messages are often the most easily checked (I think the different color is the clue here). If your server is running TDM, I think they will be displayed only once per map (I don't play TDM for months now), so maybe making the messages scheduled or periodic is a better option here.
Gestapo: if it reads only "2.0" then Filefront messed it up again (I think they have some serious problems updating mirrors). Please download from the second link (uv.es) and it should read "RconDelator 2.0.0.5" on the title.

How do i make it periodic?....How does it know which message to display on which map? Since i am running an 8 map rotation...if i change the trigger to periodic or scheduled, wont it show all 8 messages at once?
I am so confused....lol. I'll be more than happy to send you server info including rcon to get this feature working.

please advise my clan. we been running this with only the skin detector as we can't get permmision off barrysworld to upload our file, so is there a workaround for this on the barrysworld server? or can u recommend another server provider that allows us to upload our file so we can monitor for all the other cheats, thanxs in advance.

when i try and use delator, and i have the 2.0.05 version, i try and play in the server while i haev it running, and then i get errors, and my ping is way high...how can i fix this

Ok, I have another question for ya now!! I edited the ban.lst file with the following line: xx.xxx.xx.xxUnnamedSoldierGeneral12/28/2002.
Will that kick any players that come onto our server using the name of Unnamed Soldier or does it only go by the ip??

CobraEF: Delator diagnoses a Wallhack/Doorhack by the value of r_novis. That cvar, when set to 1, tells the engine to draw even those polygons the user can't currently see (for example, those place on the other side of a door, that's why they use it). It's also used with no fog and chameleon skins. In your dump it appears as 0, but really the only way for Delator to act like that is r_novis with a 1 value. The exact line is:

Becase he could just turn it of from the console.
becase after he startet fairplay and i could log his settings in the mohaa game he stoped geting warnings fore wallhack and get kicked.
So then he was cheating.......

yup. rent a server from a server farm and set up a game yourself - then you can set up whatever you want - and ondt have to share bandwidth with four other games running on the same machine.

Unfortunately, I'm not in UK, so I don't know how good any recommendations I could give would be. But, a provider that will give you ftp access to your server is really all that you would need. The majority of US providers that I am familiar with offer that kind of access to their customers.

chingaman: by making them "periodic" instead of "per map" you'll be no longer able to choose on which map they are displayed, but you could make two messages like:
message 1: "Custom maps are xxxx, yyyy and zzzz"
message 2: "Get them at blahblahblah.com"
Then make them appear every 5 minutes (or the lapse you choose). For a TDM server, I think that's a more interesting mode than make them "per map" (haven't tried it, but I guess they will only appear once on each map). There are currently some problems with periodic messages (you can't schedule a series of messages to rotate on a fixed interval, but to do that I must change the code generated by ModDelator and I would like to wait since I have a stable version before messing with it). You can still use different intervals for your messages so that they all don't appear at once.
shape: We're currenly hosted at Jolt, and we are pretty satisfied with them. Some ocasional ping issues, but bear in mind that all our clan members are Spanish. UK players usually ping on the 20/40 ms margin. You have three ways to access your server: ftp, ssh (secure telnet) and web interface (only for start/stop purposes, and currently start is not working for mohaa). But once you get used to ssh, it's the most powerful way to admin your server. You can upload yourself your own maps/mods/skins via ftp, and we have had no trouble running Delator 2 since day 1. We are currently renting an International Clan Server, but if yours is large enough, then I think a Secondary Uber Server is most interesting (no bandwith limits and a dedicated box, 24 player limit; we are going to move to it, we missed the offer by one week past november). Usually, support is fast enough (and they don't have a referrer system that I know of ;))

Cookie: I think none is having a higher ping using Delator... if you're running Rcon on the same machine you're playing, are the specs high enough? or, if ping is higher for all the players, what are the server specs? I can only talk from my own experience, but our pings have not been affected for using it (it only sends a few bytes every minute, anyway, and mohaa sends >4000 bytes every second).
CobraEF: I can't say whether he was cheating or not (maybe if I were on
your situation I couldn't tell either), but if you want my opinion, yes, he was, specially after the details on your second post; maybe I would hesitate on a different warning, but the detection for that one is pretty obvious (what I mean is: maybe it's was not a wallhack/doorhack but chameleon skins, but I'm pretty sure r_novis was 1 when Delator scanned him). Bear in mind that I'm partial here: Delator 2 is somehow my youngest son.
Peets: Delator bans on an IP basis (or subnet, or provider), players called Unnamed Soldier are perfectly safe on your server (it doesn't use the nick even to announce a player was banned previously). Glad to know the Autokick importer works fine (I needed to hear something like that :D)

I'm by no means a programmer but, how hard would it be to create a stand alone .scr file to do nothing but check current map name and based on that cvar print a message on screen every few minutes or so. I realize this is basically what was coded into Delator but maybe something is getting jazzed up between Delator and Dogtag. I'm not seeing why this isnt working. I've seen exactly what i'm describing on other servers displaying the message through the familiar "console" message. The message will show current map and next map in rotation every 2 or 3 minutes until map changes and then start new map message. This was ,by the way. on a TDM server like mine.

Ok I have been using Delator for about a week now. Been working great till i picked up 2.0.5. Everytime I Edit the mod and put a message and try and run the program the place to show dog tag and modelator always says not running. Am i doing something wrong or is it a fix in progress?

Panzer: to find out if Delator and DogTag are running for real, type this on the server console:
"versiondelator" and "dmzdogtagversion"
If both return info instead of a "unknown command" warning, then both are running for real (that's what Delator itself does, but sometimes it misunderstands the answer). If the mod part is not being run for some reason please send it to me.

Ok, I tried both but got nothing back from console, just went to next line. My messages wont even scroll or pop up when i put one in and then build the mod and place it our server. Everything besides dogtag and the messages work on the program.

Just as a follow-up to an earlier issue I was having with Delator 2 starting/stoping in a loop: It seems the problem has been corrected in version 2.0.0.5. However, rather than going into the start/stop loop, it now just skips over the scan and keeps the timer running. This only happens when the number of players approaches 16-18 and above. Anything under 16 players or so, it scans perfectly and picks up cheats, etc like it should. Then as the server fills up, the timer hits 3 min, but the scan just gets skipped and the timer keeps running, etc.....
I am running a Linux server. Anybody else running Linux with Delator 2 and having a similar problem? Or is it just me?

Handgrenade: What happens is Delator is no longer receiving info from the server. Why? I cannot imagine. The issue you were having can be easily replicated by running Delator 2.0.0.4 or previous against a server and then quitting the server (when the scan outputs no info he tries to scan again, that's why it starts/stop all the time). On version 2.0.0.5 it just skips that scan (it assumes server is busy and cannot reply) and goes on for the next one. If you have access to your server console, check if it's already receiving petitions from Delator. If it does, then I should run again the source code against your server when it's nearly full and see what happens (I think this can have something to do with net packets size, I remember a similar issue happenned with AutoKick at the very beginning).

It is definately related to the number of players on the server, though.

Ok I got another problem here...my ping thing is solved now...and by the way, love the program, i have caught aim bot users, wall hack users,a nd cheat skin users. I'm actaully obsessed with the program, lol thats all I have done the last few days
but to my problem....I try to run DElator and play at the same time, ping is fine, but when I start using my mouse and playing, the game stops and takes me to my desktop, game is still running in the background, i've had some of the same problems with Crows autokick. I run windows XP...so I'm not sure if its something to do as far as that....Also I run a 56K connection, but my ping is around 200, which is kinda good for a 56ker. But what can I do to make my puter run faster and play the game smoother.

Handgrenade: by "access to console" I mean if you can check what the server console is displaying all the time, so that you can verify if it receives any petitions from Delator when the problem happens. You can do this also by checking your server logfile, if you can't have live feedback. Also, you can type "status" on miniconsole when the scan gets ignored, to check if the reply from the server is ok.
Cookie: I assume you're running mohaa full-screen? It's weird, never heard about that (I run RconDelator on the background all the time); I think it could be more "Windows related" than Delator itself... If your modem connection is really good, check your current "rate" cvar and you can try to raise it a bit if it's below 5000. A good modem connection should be able to manage 5000 bytes, I think, but I can't test it since a don't have modem anymore. If it works, your ping should lower a little; if it can't manage all the info then it should raise to 999 (type again "set rate 4000" on mohaa console to undo the change).

My Delator 2 definately has trouble getting info from the server when it is running between 17-22 players. anything under that it usually scans fine. I monitored the console output in real-time while Delator was running with 12 players on the server, and then again with 18 players on the server. It scanned fine at 12, but skipped the scan at 18. Below is the console output during each attempted scan. my IP address (the pc that is running Delator 2) in the console is 68.14.148.23 (so you can see when it makes contact, etc.):
Also, when the server is at or over 18 players or so, 'status' commands from the mini-console on Delator 2 dont return any values. under 17 or so players and 'status' works great.

i tried chameleon skins (skins you can see through walls using opengl comands) on our server running delator 2, and, unfortunately, delator 2 couldn't find a thing.. do you want me to send you the code for these skins so you can try and intergrate there detection into delator?

was the skins name in the list of skins to detect? Delator can only detect skins such as this if the name is in the list. Another way around this is to run Dogtag and force all players to use a stock skin. Thats what we do on my clan server and it works great!

i have delator 2.0.0.5 and now i keep getting a runtime 9 error and it says its out of range, well my delator then shuts down, then when i bring it back up and try to monitor my server it says the server is not responding, i then have to restart my puter to get it to work, then 5 mins later the same thing occurs

I got the same thing Steven, Delator as well as several other admin tools. The answer is always the same. Upgrade your OS. Since I can't do that right now. I just dont use the tools.

Bad news and good news: the bad one is my holiday time is finished and I won't be able to sustain support as I'm doing (hmmm... sincerely, even I were still on vacation I doubt I could sustain the "2 pages a day" ratio... I have a life, really :) ). The good one is the next release of Delator (no deadline yet) is going to improve the modified binaries detection.
Handgrenade: Since the log shows Delator is correctly asking for the info, the next step is checking what he's getting back from the server. The next time it misses a scan (with server near full, that is), please run a "rcon status" on mohaa console and also a "status" on miniconsole and tell me what's displayed. Judging on how Delator acts, it should be an empty string, but if mohaa is showing the correct output (ie, the 20 player list), then maybe is a problem with delay between connections (currently 0.6 seconds, I could try to raise it a bit). I tried it yesterday on our server with 16 players and it worked ok, however our server has only 6 public slots and it's hard to see >14 players there.
Cookie: Server not responding or already monitored? Restart Delator, type "sv_delator 0" on miniconsole and see if that works. If you restart right after the error happens, also type "status", copy the miniconsole output and pm it to me. Thanks.
Steve: As EFF_Momma said, you should update your OS :( . It works on some 98 machines and on some it doesn't, but so far I haven't found a pattern to know why this happens.

ok this is not cheat related but a little wish to have in the delator..
is it possible for you to add a function with ping check something like
autokick´s pingcheck.
delator seems realy nice but with this thing built in it whoul be even better
then no need for more programs then one checking the server:-)
One thing more im sure its me that misses something obvius but, i have already got some players on the server with nofog and cheatskins. and i got them on the delator.log file. one of them i can se under the penalties
management. but i cant se any of them in some "ban or kick file"
bans.lst warnings.lst and kickes.lst is all empty.
i whould like to se them in atleast one of those files and also be able to
add old "banlist" into the bans.lst file or something.

Pacote2k2: NoRecoil cannot be scanned. It can be stoped, though, with a dedicated mod similar to realism ones (the ones already available don't do that). I'm already working on it, but day only has 24 hours. Sorry, I don't think it's such a terrible cheat; bulletspread is still the same, don't matters the absence of "client" recoil. Right now there are much worser cheats, but as I said, it can be stopped and it will be on time.

1.)) I downloaded ver2.0.0.5 today (Dec30), and made all the necessary adjustments to the Moddelator (CS enabled) and uploaded the pk3 file to my Windows server. Went to *a certain site* to get a recent version of that “zzzChameleon.pk3” file and put it in the 'Main' folder. (I wish they'd band these sites). Fired up the rcondelator and went into the game (spearhead 2.11). Unfortunately the program never picked up anything. I even tried enabling the “Modified binaries” checkbox, but with no luck. So I went back to that hack site and got the “user - clear transdoor.pk3” to try aswell, which told me to change (or add) these lines to the “newconfig.cfg” file in the Main folder: “seta r_novis 1”, “seta r_light_nolight 1”. Did that, and went back into the game…but with no luck still. Am I doing something wrong?
2.)) The Clan management doesn’t seem to work for me. Id put in our clan tag and password, but our members still get warnings saying they are using a private slot, even when they have the same tag in the program. It works if someone enters the game using the clan password though.
3.)) Would it be possible to alphabeticalize/numericalize the spreadsheet titles when clicked (ie., IP, Ping, Reason..etc) so that I can easily locate an item?….(my banded ip’s are immense).
4.)) Is it possible to rely on the server side ‘moddelator’ to pick up cheaters? Or do I need the client rcondelator to ‘complete the loop’? It would be nice to have the server left alone over-night to be monitored, without any of our admin pc’s running. Then have the info downloaded to the rcondelator when one of us starts it up

But this program is great. Ive caught a few cheatskins since i've started it this morning ;)

First off, wonderful program YoChoy, from some of the comments I've read here, it seems to be an excellent tool.
And now my problem, I am running into the Run-Time Error 9. It happens once I push the start button. It will go through the OS, Cheats, and others and when it gets to the last one, the error pops up, then the program will close. There is no other admin tool running on the server. I have taken the advice I have read in other posts here concerning the same error, and when I type status in the mini-console after restarting the program, I get no useful information, only the map and player info. I have the latest version of both applications. Now I should point out that I'm working on an empty server, and once someone came into it last night, and the program worked fine. Only the server crashed when the player was there. But that could have been the spawn thingy.
Please bear in mind that I'm new to this side of the game, and am still learning this aspect of the game.
Thanks in advance for any help that can given. I will keep messing around with the program and the server.

Oh, and one other question that I'm sure another admin can answer, has anyone tried this program with SH? I think I have read that people have, but I would like to know for sure before it's tried on our SH server.

Bass, for clan management make sure your tags are all lowercase - even if not used that way in game.

i know delator is intended for Allied Assault, but i've been using it on our Spearhead server and it's working great; it's already busted over 10 people in just a few days :!: 8)
i was hoping you'd be able to include a little(?) addition to it for SH...since it can't get the dumpuser on players with spaces in their names could Delator kick them from the server with a relevant message accompanying, it would be the best way of making sure everyone on the server has been checked. i don't know how difficult that would be but it's rather disconcerting to scroll down the list and see half the players don't have their characters showing - which i assume means they can't be checked for cheats either...

Well, same happened to us...........i think. At the moment there's no problem anymore.
But as soon as i check the Dogmeat's mapfixes in ModDelator and make a pk3-file with those mapfixes and load this pk3 onto the server our server will crash. Happened to us 2 times and if i am right it happens when we play St. Lo, but don't pin me on that.
I don't dare to try and add those mapfixes again into that zzzzz-delator.pk3 cause when our server crashes we have to wait for a reset.....can take a day :(
By the way YOCHOY.........is it a possibility instead of Delator looking for "Unauthorized Skins" to make Delator check on "Authorized Skins"?? Like in Blackbarts Mohaa CI. So we are done with adding cheatskins manually every week. Just put the skins in there you wanna allow and ...voila ! ;)

Alright, I've gotten my problem figured out (I hope!). The problem was in the server config. The maps were listed with a comma seperating them. eg: dm/mohdm1, dm/mohdm2, etc. Which explains why the last map in the rotation would work. So I changed the config and added just spaces between the maps. So far, no problems, but it has only been about five minutes.
Benman: A day? That's a long time. I can understand why you wouldn't want to add the fixes. It's a patient process getting everything working. Luckily, I have the time to mess aorund with this.

However, the DogTags isnt working anymore even thought it is still installed. Do we need to have the boxes in the moddelator checked for the dogtags support? My understanding was to leave those unchecked if dogtags was running. Anyways, dogtag is not running anymore.
One thing I would like to see is being able to have more than 1 rcon scan at a time. Ex, we have one running on our server but would like another admin to beable to run it also.

If you just downloaded the latest version and dogtag wont run try redownloading it. That worked for me.
New prob YoChoy: I goot everything running once i redownloaded but my messages that i have set for map rotation wont scroll. Any suggestions?
I have a couple of questions and problems :) (of course)
1) I had Delator 2.0 running on our server and then I restarted the server. Now when I try to run Delator it says that the server is already being monitored by another delator. No one else on our team is running this as far as I know and I am very confused about why it keeps giving this message. I even rebooted my machine but no luck. Help?
2) When someone is kicked or warned or whatever for a violation it should appear on the server as a message right? I'm not sure the message is showing up and no I am not running it in silent mode. Of course, now that I can't get it to run from my computer I really can't do any checking and I hate trying to make it catch someone by installing cheats soooo....any thots?

I can't help you with your second problem, but for your first, type "sv_delator 0" in the mini-console. That'll get it running again.

Hi all and happy new year....I have been also having the run-time error 9 and couldn't figure it out,but i got lucky and found out my error seems to happen when i am running autokick with delator 2.0. either together on the server or one on the server and the other on my personal computer.I stopped running Autokick and the error quit showing up.Maybe the scans overlap and it crashes delator 2.0. I don't know,but i wish i could run both tho :( .But I must say that delator is one awesome program...my clan can't believe how good it works and there isn't a nite that goes by we don't catch a least 3 people...Thanks for the AWESOME PROGRAM

I have autokick and delator runnig at the same time and haven't had that error yet but I do have some probs like when the client has spaces in his name I cant tell which skins he is using and once my server just stopped showing up on gamespy after running for 4 hrs. or 5 hrs. but other than that it has been a great tool. just needs a little more work.
p.s. I have been using it on my mohaas server. :D

we are trying it on our server.. the screen shot mode can be taken at any time though a rcon command great for matches (down side loads of screen shots to be checked)..
we are using it alongside dogtags anti force models... but are having a problem ..the anti force models is now turned off. we have added the extra text as the notes in the code program .. but still no anti force models...any help would be great.

In the Mohaa/main folder Code Security will come later than Dogtagz:
zzz_beta_dmz_dogtag.pk3
zzz_code_security.pk3
Both contain a DMprecache.scr and the last one will overwrite all other DMprecache.scr's. So you gotta take care that in (alfabeticly) the last DMprecache.scr all exec.-lines are mentioned/written, else some tools might not be executed and will not work.
So my Code Security DMprecache.scr would look like this at the end:
cache models/player/german_winter2_fps.tik
cache models/player/german_worker.tik
cache models/player/german_worker_fps.tik
exec global/codesecurity.scr
exec global/dmzdogtag.scr
Even when you start using Delator 2 ther comes a zzzzz-delator.pk3 making it the last file in Mohaa/main. So to make Dogtagz, Code security and Delator work, DMprecache.scr in zzzzz-delator.pk3 should look like this at the end:
exec global/delator.scr
exec global/codesecurity.scr
exec global/dmzdogtag.scr

They are part of the settings that control certain rendering aspects of the game. Most are "developer"-type settings and enabling them is considered cheating (except random_number, don't know what that is).
The random number is added by Code Security, it uses that random number to check if the users has his alias hacked. Remember "set g_magicword magic" ?? You will see all players return the same number ( you hope, hehe) meaning they did not hack their alias. That number is that "random number". It's also used for that "set g_instashot 1". On all the screenshots taken at one time there will be that "random number".
By the way, if you notice any lag in chatting or giving commands and it gets annoying, make sure you disengage "Antihack". Type in console:
set g_antihack 0
If you wanna disable it completely, then alter your .cfg-file or typ in console:
seta g_antihack 0
that will put it in your .cfg-file so it will use that setting after server-resets.

And, BTW, everyone... You're going to love hearing this. A success story if ever there was one. Last night (NY's Eve), Delator auto-banned a guy for using the OGC Aimbot. This morning a completely diff. person suffered the same fate for the same reason. While I was pretty sure that I would never need to worry about that, I found out how wrong I really was. Maybe they were trying it out for the first time..? dunno, but they won't bother coming by AAN ever again.
And tomorrow I begin using Code's Security mod. Hopefully this will make AAN as secure as all of the AA classic servers that are out there (who don't have to worry about players with spaces in their names). :D

YoChoy, just like everyone else I give you CUDOS on the effort so far. The app looks very professional and I just started using it today.
However. I did run into a problem. It was running smoothly then after a period of time it crashed with an error "subscript out of range." Then when I tried to restart it, I got another message "There's already an RCON Delator monitoring this server." I don't want to have to restart the server everytime delator crashes so is there a way around this? I was using Rcon Delator 2.0.0.5.
I also notice that becuase of your effort , you will be getting hammered with support questions. Perhaps there is a way to start a FAQ so that the easy questions can be asnwered. Have you considered open sourcing it? Sourceforge.com and perhaps other developers (like me) can help you support this awesome effort. Downside to that is the hackers would get to see under the hood but the app will never be fool proof anyway. Perhaps getting more people to help support will be worth the risk. Just a thought.
One more suggestion, in your error handling I would recommend writing out an error log with a trace. With this app being run an such varied environments and users with differing technical savy - reproducing errors will be difficult. Take for example my error: I got the error and have no idea what it was doing since I was away from the box when it happened. Believe me I know that "I got a subscript out of range error" is absolutely meaningless to you, but if I could email you a error log file that had the procedure trace (and linenumber where error happened) it might help you track down the error.

First off, Chameleon skins can't be detected by Delator. You can however disable forcemodel via ModDelator or DogTagz, which is the only way to combat this right now. On the other subject, you should get noticed by Delator when running those settings; since you're running Spearhead, did you have any spaces on your name?

I think Ruiner was right here. When making skin detection non case-sensitive I forgot about the clan tags. Yet another fix for 2.1 :)

Non factible, sorry. ModDelator (or Mohaa script language, for this purpose) doesn't have any way to store info for a long period or to log it into a file. In order to do this, commands should be sent directly via the server console (non-rcon) and then a parser built to analyze the server log.

Delator relays mainly on cvars values to diagnose cheats. Some people modify his files with an hex editor to change the cvars name so that the server can't check what's the current value. Delator detects these changes as a "Modified Binary". However, apparently some Mac users are being charged with this even if they're running non-edited exes, so use with caution until I can fix this.

Yes to both. They can't be checked and the next version will include some sort of player's name checking, since there are further issues with players name other than the space.

mmmm... I'm running only Tunisian Village fixes on my server (I apply the DM ones via DogTag), but I've had no issues with this (and my server has St. Lo on the obj rotation also :!: ). I did a test run of DM fixes though, and had no problems with it (even having them already applied on DogTagz at the same time). I'll try this again however (maybe I messed something in a certain update).

Yep, you must check all the scripts you want to run simultaneously with Delator (by checking them they'll be launched, but still you have to install them, of course).

You can do this already by typing "set sv_delator 0" on miniconsole when connecting a second Rcon Delator. However they should be setup on a similar way (scan intervals) to avoid messing scans, and after disconnecting one of them you should have to Stop/Start scanning on the second one to re-activate the scan process (after disconnection the Delator mod assumes no other Rcon is connected to the server and stops the player's scan).

Yep, message should be displayed whenever someone gets the boot/warning. If they are not, check if you modified the default ones and try them if you did.

The spaces thing is endemic on Spearhead. You can't do a dumpuser from the game console either if the player has some space in the name. About Gamespy, I haven't had any reports on this, but I've had similar issues (before Delator was even developed) when running mixed map types.

Actually, what Delator detects are the skins used by this aimbot. Some people use them without running the aimbot, though, since they are RGB skins easy to spot. But frankly, I don't care too much if it's running in the background or not, just using such skins is a cheat on itself.

That's why I started this thread, but it has become sooooooo long that it's hard to find any answer here. Fortunately, many users are trying to help each other and relieving me of a part of the load. I don't think I will be making it "open source" for the reasons you state, but I don't mind making it available to some trusted developers (in fact, there's the possibility of an upcoming linux version which would be developed by a different programmer).

First time I heard of this... ModDelator should create the mod into the "[Delator Folder]\Generated Mod" folder, and it should be named "zzzzz-delator.pk3". Try looking for that file on your hard disk, and also make sure your Delator folder is not write-protected...

Bit of a problem here, my banned ips have ALL gone for no reason..ie in the penalties management box...how could this have happened?
I DO have a copy of them but dont know how to put them back.
For info I have only a bans.lst no Bans.txt ...should I?
I have only one entry in this bans.lst which does NOT show up as banned in the program...

Hey, Yo! Got a new one for ya... well, for me anyway. I set up the latest ver. (2.0.0.5 with ModD as 2.0.0.2) and then also installed the Code Security Mod. In Mod Dealtor I have DogTags and Code both checked to be run. When I start RconD, though, it shows that ModD and DogTags are NOT running. Any idea why?
BTW, I edited the DM_Precache on all three mods (DogTags, Code and Delator) to be exactly the same and for them all to exec one another.

Hey Chicken: I had same problem when i got the 2.0.5 version. Try redownloading it. That worked for me.

Hi all,
I'm a Macintosh user and deletor dont let me play :(
The prog detect no fog and modified binaries and kick me after 2 min
I tried with a new installed mohaa folder (pure without mod) but no hope to play
I dont like to be called cheater only why i'm using a wonderful OS like the Mac, can u doing something?

Hi all! I run thefiberpipe server with delator. Wow...I didn't realize how many cheaters there were out there. I have 2 people I really believe are not running the no fog alt binaries. I read the post earlier about a mac user. I am looking into that now to see it that is what they are using. I will report back here with that info; however, has anyone had any problems with false readings?

I just confirmed that the two users I was talking about use macs. They say they are not using cheats. They volunteer the mac use info without me aksing them if they are using a mac. I think that there is a problem with delator giving false no fog and mod binaries. let me know what you find please.

I am running into the Run-Time Error 9 (...) I get no useful information, only the map and player info.
You never know :) , the last (already fixed) cause for that error was some player having a 'LAN' setting as his net rate, so... Anyway, people is reporting they have that error when running both Delator and Autokick. Are you running both apps also?
FYI, im my case when I got the error I was not running auto kick.

Yes that is a very elusive error. I don't think changing to the ocx will make a difference. Only solutions I have found were to ignore the error. ie:

that seemed to solve it for me. I know ignoring it seems scary (and slimy) but what else can one do?

Then when I tried to restart it, I got another message "There's already an RCON Delator monitoring this server." I don't want to have to restart the server everytime delator crashes so is there a way around this?
From the Delator help file ;) :
"If you keep getting the "Already monitored" error and you're sure no other Rcon Delator is polling the server, type "set sv_delator 0" on the server console (you can also use RconDelator Mini Console for this)."

Redrum pointed me to this thread because I am one of the Mac users that is getting booted by this anti-cheat software for having a "fog hack".
From what I can tell, the mac version varies slightly from the PC version, and the anti-cheat software has not been told what to look for if someone is on a mac.
Another easier, short-term solution would be to allow the admins running this anti-cheat software to add a list of ignore IPs. that way, admins could just allow some IPs (those of Mac users or trusted players) to log in without being scanned and booted.
Some info about my setup: I'm running MoH 1.12 for MacOS X v10.2.3. If any other info is needed from me, I'm glad to help out. I can ever help by logging into servers for testing purposes etc.
