I run a few MOHAA servers on a dedicated linux server and I have patched the fgameded.so on my windows box by using CrowKing's fix based on Druid's fix. It's been on there for a while without any incident, but today I noticed that a player was able to spawn a uboat.tik image on the map and I was able to reproduce the problem. From this, I was curious if the Linux version of this patch is working for anyone else out there. The one thing that I did notice was that the fgameded.so file that was 'patched' on my windows box was the same size as the original file prior to being patch...is this normal?
Thanks for your help...

The size would be the exact same between the fix and the original.
The only change would be the dates.
By chance has a update for linux AA come out in the last 2 months which may of replaced the fixed file?
This is the only reason I can think of why it wouldn't work.
Or if your server is hosted by a company they may of reinstalled it.

Not sure about the update for linux AA in the past 2 months ...I don't think it has been updated. As for the server, I am the only one that touches the servers. Coincidently, the size of the patched version on my system is the same size as the one that you sent to me in email so I'm guessing the linux AA has not been changed in the past 2 months.

Were the dates on the file you had and the one I sent you the same?
