View Full Version : Pure Server problems.. Help please.

Hello ;)

I just saw that CB rules are sv_pure "1".
thats cool with me, one problem though, when i set this on our server.

no one can get in there, it kicks everyone for unvalid pk3 files.

Well at first i thought, damnit everyone cheats , lol :P

But thats not the situation, everyone is clean, i also checked it myself , and no one can get in.. While everyone else can join other pure servers..

whats the deal?

Umm.. the server doesnt run any mod at the moment, and except the iokillcam , the server is default.
how come sv_pure "1" doesnt work?
please.

Is there a chance your players auto-downloaded mods from other servers? Check the Main folder for .pk3 files other than the pak ones.

I wish, but no, i have checked it my self.
i also saw the same problem on other servers as well..
i dont get it.

i know i had that problem when a m8 set up a server i looked in console and saw these errors anyone know what it could be it wasnt just me no oe could join it when it was set to pure


couldnt load these files

scripts/mp_brecourt.sun

mp_axis_chat.voice

mp_allies_chat.voice

gfx/misc/railcorethin_mono.tga

i hvae no problem getting to any other pure server just his one when he had it set to pure :x

Do you use a localised version, ie is there a language.cfg, or a localised .pak?

There is a thread about this over att www.iwnation.com. Don't remember what it's called but do a forum search for .sun or something.

Have you got your allow downloads turned on? If you are running a server side mod and it is off, no one can connect without the file.

You sure about that Click ? that's not how my server works. I have some spec/killcam mods and the server is sv_pure 1. I never had any problems with people connecting without that file. Download is also on, but my computer at home (which I play on) doesn't have this pk3, so I can't have downloaded.

But occasionally I see people getting thrown out since they have PK3's I dont have on the server.
