does anyone know if crow king's realism mod works with spearhead or is it strictly for allied assault?

well both CKR 1.0 and 1.1 only contain the weapons in allied assault, you shall either edit your own or download a realism mod for spearhead

There are a few CKR type mods out already. There is Sitting Ducks Spearhead Realism and MPSH both available at modtheater: http://www.modtheater.com/pafiledb.php?action=category&id=815

Also ChickenBoo has been working on one over at allaboutnothing.com.

I'm pretty partial to my own of course... :D Crow Kings is what got me going in MOHAA. I started mine off as a modification of his for DK666's server. I didn't specify that in the general description so it looks like most people don't want to mess with it. I like it though, and we have a full house about 90% of the time becuase of it. Hope you find what you want. But as for the MOHAA CKR, it isn't precisely the same, the values are almost identical but the strings are set differently. And there is extra ammo asigned depending on the main wpn you use. So MOHAA CKR would actually handicap your other ammo loads, like nades.

Thanks for the plug. It's actually allaboutnothing.net (http://www.allaboutnothing.net), but that's ok. And the realism isn't quite available just yet, but if you e-mail me I'll reply with a copy of our latest test. Currently it's ver. 33.3333. :)

Well hey thanks for your post. I was wondering if anyone is running it out there. Its one thing I have noticed, alot of servers don't advertise what mod they are running. So saying "realism" doesn't really tell you much. I made some adjustments to the semi auto sniper rifles last night. I decided to increase thier rof to a true semi auto. The kick is still heavy so using it like an M1 doesn't work well. But incase you come into close contact with an enemy you have the option of letting it rip. (so to speak)

The other adjustment I just made is the zoom movement. Moving while zoomed is quite hard now. I should have made this the norm a long time ago, but I just didn't worry about it. Too many snipers run around with thier scopes "on" So one way to decrease this option is make them move like turtles when in zoom mode. Theres two basic reasons for this, one, a sniper doesn't just let rounds fly, they use the steady hold factors when firing. The other is, too many people are using those wide open view reticles. This is one other reason why they can run and zoom at the same time.

I also gave the sten its 32 rounds. I haven't decided on the ppsh as many other mods have done. I account for the lack of a full drum because the Russians were known for not always having ample supplies. So to say the drums were "drummed up" on the battlefield is an easy reason enough....yes I know bad joke... :rolleyes:

This version of my realism mod will be tested on DK666's server for a week or two to see how it works out. ip: 207.137.168.185

Oh I also forgot to mention. I already had the kar98mortar files modified for the game in my first release prior to the latest patch. I noticed alot of realism makers didn't do this. I created my mod based on the files provided with the demo since they are the same exact files as the release. (minus the mortar of course.) Ok I guess thats it for now. Back to killing. :D

Yeah I know what ya mean about the ppsh I had to do some changes there myself. How did ya mod so the runspeed decreased while scoped? I would like to do it on my server.

For the snipers its simple just go to the individual sniper rifle script and you will see theres a zoom and regular movement speed. Its one of the sensible things they did for SH.
