I am sure there are more people than me who have seen this. You will be sitting in a server and some clan member, who is used to the MoH:AA console, or just not used to the CoD console, will type rcon in and send it to everyone. This can be very frustrating for everyone. So I made a small mod that lets you enter RCON safely from a dialog that you bring up with the R key at the main menu.

I get my guys to start their game with a commandline like....

"F:\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe" +connect 66.165.108.21 +rconpassword "xxxxxxxx" +set cl_playintro 0 +set ui_skip_eamovie 1 +set ui_skip_titlescreen 1 +password "xxxxxxx" +set ui_skip_legalscreen"

This starts the game and goes straight to the server, and sets the rcon password for them. No more broadcasting the rcon password :P

That's a good idea, although I was under the impression that the multiplayer exe didn't have any videos or legal screens. That one looks like spearhead. CoD would be more like this:
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\CoDMP.exe" +connect 64.5.48.52 +rconpassword "xx" +password "xx"
Not to nit pick, I just thought it should be as accurate as possible. I think this mod could still be useful to you, in some circumstances. Also, people who use All Seeing Eye, the best server browser there is, can easily set up their rcon password by clicking on the server and pressing F4 on the keyboard.

Just create a file in your main folder named, autoexec_mp.cfg. Then add your 'set rconpassword "xxx" ' to this, and distribute this to your RCON holders. It's the safest way to do this, and easier for the techie challenged. This gets executed automatically when you enter the game. I use this config for any non-archiving cvars.

All I can say is YYYEEEAAAAAA!!!!!!!

To be quite honest, that single thing is my biggest fear with this game. I have had my rcon password sniffed before and had it used by hackers against me in my own server, not nice.
