Ok guys,

I keep getting an error message when I run console for my ded. server.

This is what console is saying (I took out most of the pk3's that were in there. took up to much room for this question)

I have a linksys 4 port router and have forwarded the 12203 and the 12300 ports thourgh my firewall (I think). anything else you would suggest

Why are you trying to set the IP and port in the command line? Under normal instances that is not necessary, the server will use the proper IP and port. I would take those 2 items out of your command line, add this to your server cfg: seta net_port 12203, and try again.

Not sure about putting the net_port in the server.cfg file. I've done that many times but I think the server.cfg is read in later during the server startup. the only way I can get the net_port to stick is if I put it on the command line.

Most server cfgs I have ever seen always set the net_port in the cfg. Check out the ones in the Guides: http://www.mohadmin.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Content&pa=list_pages_categories&cid=5

The default Spearhead ones do too.
