Setting up dedicated server. Please help mine wont work!!!

Hey i have done everything that i can think of to set up my dedicated server. I am on DSL and have a Linksys router. I first tried to open the few critical ports, that did not work. I then demiliterized my connection, i still could not get outside users to see my IP. only internal computers. I dont know what to do and am stuck in a rut. I have a linksys router and one thing I had to ensure was that the dedicated pc was the first ip on the port forward list. If I wanted to open ports on the other pcs they had to be the next on the list.

ok here this is what i did, i feel totaly stupid but here it is. I changed the first part where it says press fire to enter. Whereas you are supposed to enter in your text where it says "this is where you enter in your custom saying"

it is simple but somehow i overlooked it

OOPPs last response was an answer to another question, for this problem what was actually happening was it was using my main ip, i found out this by going and searching for the game once i found this i wrote down the ip and it has worked ever since
