NOTE!!! Map voting>>>Changes map rotation?

Well I have moved out of my tow rotation to mess with the buggy dm/tdm/rtdm maps. So I voted and enough ppl votes yes and we went on to a tdm map. When the match ended and we were getting ready to go to the next map im thinking we will go back to the rotation setup in my server.cfg file....not the case. Now my server has a mind of its own and it keeps rotating tdm maps untill I restart the server.

This, for me, is the first big prob that I have come across in Spearhead. How are we to control our servers if votes like that change the map rotation? Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

May not be the answer you are looking for, but disable voting entirely. Thats what we ended up doing on the >F|H< spearhead server. We got tired of coming into the server and finding realism on, ff off, and it rotating the 4 moh obj maps.

You can edit the callvote.cfg file that is in the pak2.pk3 file (under mainta) but if you have a wiley enough user out there, they can *still* call a vote for things you turn off through the console. So until we have complete control of what can be voted for (through a dm_flags type mechanism) we decided to turn off voting entirely...

I'm not sure but.. What I think is going on here is a different maplist is being used for each g_gametype.

So my guess is one's of thoughs maplists are being called when you change the gametype through the vote.

Like blasney said. You can make a new callvote.cfg and make it do whatever you want. Or you can change thoughs ui_maplist_things above. Or you can just type "rcon exec server.cfg" instead of rebooting the server.
