ATTENTION EVERYONE** Spearhead Hosting to cost more then MOH

I operate a couple of moh servers.. One being spearhead through art of war.. I just got word they will be increasing the cost to 10$ a slot..

This is just to rich for our blood.. I called a couple of other hosts and they are all becomming aware of the problem "Spearhead requires more CPU recsources" so all hosts will be charging more for spearhead hosting then for MOH hosting...

What does this mean for us? Will this kill off spearhead? Any admins here have any feedback on the subject?

We're hosted thru AoWC also, and they've also knocked the price of our SH server to 10 bucks a player. I'm going to keep it for now, but i'll be knocking down the player limit before the next billing cycle. The problem with that is, since the SH maps are so much bigger, less than 18 players may make it kinda....lame i guess. We'll be going down to 16 players tomorrow (unless more of my clan-mates start kicking in some ducats).

Yeah it sucks bad. Will it kill SH? I hope not, but unless there are largish hosted servers, I can see a situation where people won't be as enthused to play. On the other hand, with the lag on the big servers now, playing can be a little bit of a pain unless you have a booming system and a phat-pipe, and even then, lag still abounds. :(

I have an Action Blaster Spearhhead server and they are keeping prices the same as AA.

ILAN is planning on a small increase price on all their servers.
They haven't said if this will effect people who already have them or just new servers.
MOHAA and MOH_SH cost the same.

I just assembled 2 boxes for hosting Spearhead in my Rack I rented in a Datacenter.

Box-1: Athlon XP 2100+, 1024MB DDR RAM, 40GB Harddisk
Box-2: Dual Athlon MP 1900, 2048MB DDR RAM, 2x 40GB Harddisk

I'm not quite sure how many Gamservers with how many Slots I can do on 1 Box.

Last time ILan upped the prices it didn't affect those already renting them. Given that Spearhead requires more resources that may not be the case. I've been waiting for them to upgrade our server....since two weeks before it came out. Still waiting. :(

We're paying $90 a month for a 20man server currently but we've been renting from them since like March or April.

Hey I just setup my dedicated server (SH) through warzonegamers. Right now they are waiving installation fees and they seem to be cheapest out there. Also great support. Larry was helping me last night work out some bugs.
I did a good amount of $ checking and they have good prices and servers(San Jose & Kansas City). My 12 person server cost $50 and its unbranded.
