Need Help, Newbie [Archive]

:?: Everytime I start my dedicated sever at my job, everything is fine. Once I go home I can't connect to it. When I show up in the morning the server is closed. How is a way I can start or restart my server from home if it closes at work.

You would need to access your work PC remotely. You can do this a number of ways:

1) If it's a Windows XP box at work, use Remote Desktop.
2) Use Symantec PCAnywhere.

These allow you to access a PC using an IP address, and you can work on the PC almost like it was right in front of you. So, you start the server with PCAnywhere, then join the server.

Or. . .maybe your boss is shutting it down, hehe
