Hey guys! I, too, found that server info plugin (q3plug?) a couple days ago, but thanks for reminding me about as I now have it in use.
However, do any of you hear complaints about it not working? That is, the plugin shows, but sometimes there's a receive error and others get a timeout error. Anyone else have this problem?

No, no problems, well to be honest it's only been working for a day, but none to date... I did find it frustrating trying to join until my friend discovered the right clicking over the buttons displays the options....

I finally got the Timeout error you were taliking about and as it turns out my DSL connection had dropped. Once I restarted my router it refreshed and worked like a champ again...
OK, I need some help. the killer app for this plug in would be to let your visitors enter there own IP address.
I am working on setting a cookie with the entered IP. But I'm having problems recalling it into the embed tag to display the server.
anyone know how to do this.
Just think you could have it defaulted with your server being displayed, someone at your site wants to see if his other fav. server is busy. He enters his IP and bam. He now can view this server.
Cant seem to find any info on how to do this. The only way I can think of is threw cookies.
Anyone know how to do this???
Thanks
Just getting settled here....what plugin is this and where do I get it?
check the main site, scroll down a bit. its a web plugin for MOH so you can see in real time who is on your server, ping and any other GS and or ASE info

RudeDog:
I had a similar idea I was just going to place a form box below the plugin and let them enter their own IP or host name and port, that way anyone chack check any server. It wouldn't cache it but it would allow them to view whichever they wanted.. is this kind of what you're lloking for?

Also FredG if your still watching this thread the link you posted for the PHP class is broken, can you email the class to me or something?
Yes, I just came across a cookie script I was trying to modify. But there is no need for it to remember .

Okay I have a working copy of it up on my website:
http://games.gotdns.com
select Server Status and you can view the status of any MOH server by hostname or ip address.
The port portion doesn't seem to work, regardless of the port entered it always seems to select a default port. I need to find an IP address running multiple instances to do some more testing.
Anyway if anyone is interested I can put together a generic template for this. It's really simple....
A template would be sweet! I'll take one please! Thanks!

I reformatted the page to take all my site specific stuff out and zipped it up.
Be aware this script requires a web server with PHP support.
Look on:
http://games.gotdns.com
under the patches section for q3plug something or other.

Sure... I'll get a copy of it too ya. I've been doing some work with it and have a pretty good start. Take a look at it here:
http://onemean.com/tv/serverinfo.php for the [tv]Land Server w00t!!! That us! Not a 24/7 tho, yet!
or here:
http://onemean.com/tv/divserver.php for our buddies over at [Division]
I built the display page form scratch and I think it pretty good, still some tweeking to do to it tho. I also added a page refresh, so if you just sit there with the page up it will realod every 2 min. I've made very few changes to the class it's self (that'll be the next phase of my work)! The first time I was looking into scripting something like this I found a site with info about the format of the socket commands for moh, which might allow sending commands to the server via a php script. Hope I can find the site agn! Anyway, let me know what you guys think of it.
Thanks Breakaway! Much appreciated!
Way to go Breakaway. Just what the dog ordered.
as for the port. because it looks for the GS quire port, and not the port the game is running.
Will be adding this to a MOHadmin page.
Will also submit this news to TMT and AA.com ( shhh but need some more exposure, got to keep this site fresh in the minds of the newer admins) and this little mod is well worth letting everyone know.
BTW,when was this released, I did notice it has been out for a while but the MOH part is new?
Almost forgot, do you mind breakaway if I host the file here as well. Naturaly I will point them to your site along with the download here
OK guys
The new MOHadmin's server status page is up and running thanks to breakaway

Don't mind at all...
Tell you the truth I don't exactly know when this version was released...
I had the idea also of adding a drop down box so you could enter several of your favorite servers to keep for quick reference as well

Wow I missed all the other posts when I replied the first time,
SgtD you're welcome...
FredG - Looks great I really like the map picture you added in and the graphic bar for the number of people in the server.... That's alot like what I want to do, I also want to add the ability to start and stop the server and exec rcon commands from the web page. I've also found a couple more PHP resources:
http://www.tuts.net/~titulaer/
not sure if this will work with MOH but:
http://server.counter-strike.net/phprcon/
If you want to email that class you can use the email link off the front page of my website. Thanks and hope these are of some use to you as well....
I missed that also
Nice work fredG. Let me know if you want to release that when your done.
Looks very good. Very clean layout.
If you guys could get Rcon to work, that would be awesome. Everyone is always trying to rcon to there server from work 8O , just don't let their bosses know.

GOOD FIND BREAKAWAY!!! Just taking a quick look at them I think they will both be very useful. I need to get time to dig into them a bit and see what we got tho.
Here is the original mohquery class (original package from gubbinz.net)
http://onemean.com/tv/downloads/mohquery.zip
rude... I'd be more than happy to package it up and give it to you guys once it's all polished up.

Great I got it thanks, I thinkk I may have gotten pink eye so I may not get a chance to look at it too soon... but I got it.
OK, this is strange. I've tried this from a few different sites already and have gotten the same results so I'm hoping you guys can figure it out.
When I try to enter the IP and port of our 5th server 65.113.115.248:12203 it pulls up information on a different clans server. I can enter the same information in HLSW or Autokick and it brings up server 5's info. Sooooo why is the server status getting the wrong information?
Any thoughts?

That's what I was talking about with the whole port thing, on server staht are running multiple instaces I was pulling only one, the same one everytime (at least I think they were the same servers) anyway I need to find a server running multiple instatnces simultaneously or get of my ass and start up two on my server and test it.... Just haven't had time today to do it...
OK, I understand now. We must have just got lucky with server 1 on 66.151.132.182:12203 as we rent it through ILanGame and I'm pretty certain they have more than one instance running on that machine, yet when the stats are pulled, it brings up our server. Thanks breakaway!
