1st this site is so awesome! I have all these questions that I have been carrying around... So I"m gonna unload one of them right now?
Can a RCON command be bound to a key? For example let's say I wanted to bind a "rcon status" to "f". Can that be done? What would the syntax of the bind be?
What about a key to toggle a setting on a remote server. Let's say I wanted to bind key "g" to toggle teamdamage off/on??? Any ideas?

EXACTLY!!! Wouldn't that be a great tool for keeping your clan-mates in line!! LOL!!
Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle for yelling at them on TS. :(
It would be soooo much kewler to toggle it on and walk up behind an unsuspecting clan-mate with a pistol wip!
*WAP*WAP*WAP* TAKE THAT YOU BASTARD!! Next time I tell you to cover me you beter be there, SUCKA! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

You can bind almost anything.
To get a rcon status just do this
In console type with 9 the key i use for the bind
Bind 9 rcon password status
This is how you make it work.
I hit 9 then bring up the console
Alot of rcon binds won't work if the console is open
Hit the binds then open the console.
Hope that helps
Copy and paste from DaDs forums :)
"A number of people have asked me how this is done. It can get complicated depending on exactly what the request is for, but in general here is an "idiot's guide" to key binding (with apologies to the idiot! )
Looking in your "Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\main\configs" folder you should see one file only. It should be called "unnamedsoldier.cfg". Open this file by right-clicking on it and selecting Open With -> WordPad. If WordPad is not an option click Choose Program and select WordPad from the given list. Do not open it with NotePad as it will not give you the correct spacing.
Once you have it open you should see the first four lines as
// generated by moh:aa do not modify
//
// Key Bindings
//
Below this is a list of the binds you currently have.
Now all you have to do is insert the bind command as appropriate. It makes it easier to follow if you keep them all in alphabetical order, but this is not absolutely necessary for MOHAA will still read it in any order. Just be careful not to bind the same key twice as that will only confuse the issue.
Once you're done, just save the file over the original and you're good to go.
Here are some examples of simple keybinds. If you want any others and can't figure out the command syntax,
bind z "rconpassword xxxxxxxxxxx"
- binds the Z key to a quick login for those with RCON access (replaces the xxxxxxxxxx with the real password)
bind x "rcon status"
- binds the X key to give an RCON status (though the console still has to be manually opened immediately afterwards)
bind a "rcon say Hemi couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat"
- binds the A key to give a rather accurate console description of Hemi's expertise
bind d "useweaponclass pistol; wait 1000; weapdrop"
- binds the D key to make you drop your pistol with one keystroke
