I'm migrating to the q3 engine with CoD from the HL engine (Day of Defeat), I was wondering if there is a large community for server side addons such as ClanMod, AdminMod, AMX Mod, and the such for administrating a server. I've come quite accustomed to using the features these offer, but I haven't seen any talk of these types of plugins or addons for CoD or the q3 engine in general. Do they exist or am I just searching for the wrong terms?
I ask this becuase i'm renting a server and don't have access to an "external" program like ServerWatch, everything is done through a web interface, and all I can do it start, stop and restart the server. :(
Am I SOL for the time being?

well
ServerWatch is possibel to download and use with ftp connections like you have allso.
SO there you can connect your self up agains the mp_game log file and get serverwatch to run all the featrues it has.
ServerWatch gets more features running for Cod almost every day.
Soon ServerWatch will stopp spamming the chat that everyone see allso and will then send the welcome message and all info the players ask for only to the player that ask`s for it.

Remember CoD is just a week old here in the US and only a day or so in other parts of the world.
Just like SW other "admin" tools are being ported from other games, IE MOH.
You should start seeing stats, server sided admin tools, and or remote admin tools. As well as realism mods and skins.
Welcome to the wonderful word of CoD, sit down and hang on, This could be a very exiting ride

I have not seen the serverwatch program, but many GSP's will not give permission to "execute" through FTP.
This is due largely because they do not want you uploading other programs and running them from your directory.
I would assume that "serverwatch" would need to be "launched", so this may not be an option for everyone.

Yeah, FTP doesn't allow anyhting to be executed, it would have to be executed from outside through telnet, ssh, or through Remote Login.

Actaully, you can execute with FTP, but the permission for it needs to be set.
Why not just ask your provider if they can set it up for you as a service? There may be a small fee, but if you want it bad enough - >>>???
