Has anyone got CoD to work under a guest account in XP ? I've managed to get most games working by using cacls in XP to set directory / file permissions. No joy with CoD so far, the user have full access to the CoD directory but the when I run CoDmp.exe the msg is "Call of duty couldn't write to a file. ". So CoD is trying to write somewhere other than c:\program files\call of duty as it has full permissions to do this. We use a guest account to stop the kids install anyone cr@p under XP, hence the question. This is for them not me... TIA

Have you thought of giving them a super user or limited admin account? Also make sure your full access to all the sub folders of Call of Duty are correct cause I know punkbuster does require admin rights to work correctly.

Use the "runas" command. WIth this you can run CoDMP.EXE as the system administrator without giving any other privs. See the Windows XP help for construct.
