pb_sv_guidrelax 2 ??

Can anyone plz explain to me how the PB setting PB_SV_GUIDRELAX 2 works? From the manual:
A Value of 2 means PB will not kick for WRONGIP GUIDs (these are GUIDS which are valid but not from the IP Address the player is connecting from)

Which IPs are they referring to here?

Means Pb will not kick the players ripping off the gaming industry by using key-generators. I think. :|

:? I think PB does that in general, wouldn't you say? As you can probably see from my amount of posts here and on mohadmin.com thru the years I'm not some kid haxxor jumping in here looking for a way to cheat IW for their money.

I'm trying to solve a problem and looking into different methods.

No I wouldn't say. You have:

PB_SV_GUIDRelax [0-7]
Defaults to 0; Controls PunkBuster's kicking behavior related to GUIDS; A Value of 1 means PB will not kick for UNKN (Unknown) GUIDs; A Value of 2 means PB will not kick for WRONGIP GUIDs (these are GUIDS which are valid but not from the IP Address the player is connecting from); A Value of 4 means PB will not kick for DUPLICATE GUIDs; These values (1, 2 and 4) can be combined to achieve the desired behavior

Well OK, I can't see the connection between my question about the IP list (these are GUIDS which are valid but not from the IP Address the player is connecting from) and your answer. Never mind.

To me, the amount of posts here (like yours) in general suggests the person is a serious codadmin.

It means two people can play with the same Guid. Thats it.

:lol: Glad to help an old timer like yourself...lol. We place the Guide Relax on 2 when we have matches so that Dad and his son can both play on the same key.

Exaclty Jay,
Means that father & son can play on teh same server at the same time and not get booted.
