over the head icons

i have played on a few different servers for cod, and they all had icons over the players heads, but my server doesnt have that. is that because i dont have friendly fire on?

That is set in the server config file. It is off by default.

i just set it to 1 and uploaded it to my server and rebooted the server, but it still doesnt show up above your teammates head
