Some strange ping probs when spectating

Hi guys,

I noticed a little strange problem on my own server.
When you die and you start to follow an other player thru his eyes, you will see that your ping will be equal as the person you are spectating...

Is this a known issue, or just a little bug that has to be fixed?

If I am not mistaken this is a know issue.

It does this for RTCW as well.

When you die in RTCW whoever you are spec'n after you die, the "show players" screen will assign you his ping. It never really causes a problem (I think Q3 as well).

RTCW has been out for over 2 1/2 years and this was never fixed - because it does not have any effect on anything.

You can ask for it in the patch, but I beleive it is not something they will change.

I've always liked it. It's a subtle way to know who is spectating who.
