I'm working on compiling a console command reference with decent descriptions of what each command does. Can anyone give me a good description of the following commands and what their parameters are:
cinematic
cmd
cvar_restart
devmap
globalservers
heartbeat
in_restart
localizeSoundAliasFiles
logo
messagemode
messagemode2
messagemode3
ping
r_loadsun
r_meminfo
r_savesun
r_smc_flush
r_smc_stats
r_sunhelp
r_vbo_refresh
r_vc_stats
scriptUsage
setenv
sets
setu
touchFile
updatehunkusage
updatescreen
vstr
wait
writedefaults

Well, from MoHAA I can tell you cinematic on it's own turned off background sound (eg firing in b/g, planes overhead on v2)
cvar_restart - resets all your cvars, *don't* do this on a server you don't have anything more than RCON access too ;)

Hmmm, cinematic doesn't appear to take any parameters but whenever I execute it, it tells me it won't work when connected to a server.

I've compiled a list of commands and a description of what each one does. There are some commands that are incomplete. If anyone knows what they do, contact me so I can update the reference. Try here http://webpages.charter.net/clan_kirkpatrick/sok/CoD%20Commands.pdf.

Will be posing this on the front page so you get more help with the commands! Good job
Also when it's finished, let me know I will add it to our guides section if you like.

Sounds good to me. I've asked about the other commands both here and on the IW forums but they must be little used because I haven't gotten any replies :(

When it is done I would like your permission to throw it on our site as well.
It will come in handy. I am far to lazy to type that all out so if it is ok, I will post it in our forums when your done.

"I hereby give permission for anyone to download this reference and post it in their forums, make available for downloading, or otherwise disseminate the information contained herein."
There, does that sound legal enough? Seriously, you can all do what you want with it. I only hosted it because I'm stalking several forums. It's originally in Word but I thought a PDF would be more universal.

It was not so much a question of being legal, more of respect for someone's efforts and proper gratitude.
I hate when people rip-off forums and post things as their own.
I always ask and then give credit.

I posted your PDF in normal text in our forums. I would have liked to put some contact info, but I did not find any for you.
You can view my post here http://www.fiberfrag.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=625#625 .
Thanks again for taking the time to compile such a list.

Tighten, I appreciate your ethics. I have seen many people make a minor change to something and pass it off as their own. My email is skirkpatrick@charter.net if anyone wants to contact me directly.

This is a client side command but probably still useful;
For those people wanting to see what their Geforce FX5950 Ultra water cooled monster cards can do with CoD...
/com_maxfps XXX Where XXX is a number for FPS (Frames Per Second)
This can only be used when the Sync every frame option in Options>Performance is turned off.
messagemode -> Quick chat to ALL players
messagemode2 -> Quick chat to TEAM players.

Thanks, I've updated the PDF file.
Every once in a while, someone comes up with a command that doesn't appear in CMDLIST :!:

msgmode1 and 2 are not really needed unless you are binding keys,
T and Y by default do the same thing.
