Congratulations;

The New look to the forums and their performance (nice and snappy) is excellent.

Kudos to whomever did this marvelous job!

It really looks good and performs very nicely. :clap:

Yes, it looks good. But I think the color-coding used for "code" makes them very hard to read. Or is it just me getting old? :lol:

Code sample for quick refererence:
set sv_hostname "^0A ^3Band of Brothers #1 ^2CTF DOM"
set scr_motd "TIME TO DIE. Please visit our Base Assualt Server called^0A ^3Band of Brothers #2 ^2BAS"
// ^1 = red
// ^2 = green
// ^3 = yellow
// ^4 = dark blue
// ^5 = light blue (cyan)
// ^6 = magenta
// ^7 = white

// Team Icons
set scr_drawfriend "1"
// Forced Respawn
set scr_forcerespawn "1"
// Friendly Fire
set scr_friendlyfire "0"

set g_banIPs ""
set g_password "" // sets a password on your server
seta rconpassword "xxxx"
set sv_privatepassword "xxxxxxx"

set sv_maxping 200

//console log - 0=no log 1=buffered 2=continuous 3=append
set g_logsync "0"
set g_log "games_mp.log"

set net_ip 67.18.69.148
set net_port 28960
set sv_maxclients "32"
set sv_privateclients "4"

//Server Ram Settings
set com_hunkmegs "256"

// Idle Players, Spectators, and Timeouts
//set g_inactivity "120"
//set g_inactivityspectator "240"

// Corpse Time
set sv_zombietime "5"

// Death Messages
set sv_obituary 1

set sv_pure "1"

// MASTER SERVERS TO REPORT TO

sets sv_master1 "coduomaster.activision.com"
sets sv_master2 "master.gamespy.com:28960"
sets sv_master3 "master0.gamespy.com"
sets sv_master4 "clanservers.net"
sets sv_master5 "coduoauthorize.activision.com"
seta sv_gamespy "1"

I like the new look, too...good job, RudeDog. Oracleman, have you tried the "midnight" theme? Makes the code look a lot clearer. Like you, I'm getting old, too, and had to change over...

Thanks for the feedback guys. have not had a chance to test everything out. I got the site moved and updated then had to leave on business. Won't be home until Oct 18th.

I will look at the code for the blue theme upon my return.

Also, anyone still getting script errors? I removed an old WYSIWYG script that I thought was causing them.

If anyone else has any suggestions please post them here.

We average about 140 members online at any given time I think the upgrade to a faster box and a more stable OS has pulled it off.

Script errors seems gone for me.

It is SOOOO good to get rid of that dreadful white text/black background that you used to have.
The place looks reet dandy now.
PS - you really need to change those CODE colours - it's nothing to do with being old. :x(

OOPs. Now you broke my avatar. It's pic #091 in your list of avatars. When I go in there it shows up, but it doesn't show up here. Hmmm.

:o , I see the problem and fixing it as I type this. Should be back up in 10/15 minutes.

Let me know if it's the correct one.

RD,

I'm not getting an e-mail when replies are posted to a thread, even though I have it checked in my profile. Something wrong there?

I just sent you an email to the address below, just to see if your codadmin.com board email is correct.

Anyone else having email notification problems?

Not yet, but plz let me know if you find a solution. I have the same problem on my site :wink:

Weird, I'm not getting notifications on PMs, either. I double-checked my profile, and all seems ok. What I'm going to try is to trun it off, then turn it back on...I'll let you know.

Olddog, can you try another email addy? Then see if you receive email then change it back to your original one?

OldDog

Ya, I'll try that. At first I thought it was spam filtering...all of my e-mail addresses are forwarders, but they all go through a main forwarder, which, in turn, sends it to my main e-mail account. There's 2 spam filters along the way, but I checked both with no joy...they're not being held.

I'll try another address.

Just manually checked the db. Your nukeuser entry had email notification set to 1

Yup

OldDog
10-24-2004, 08:50 AM
I'm ok now...changed the addy to my "work" address, which hosed my profile, but I was getting notifications. Changed the addy to another address I have, received the "reactivate" notice, did so, and I'm back in. Still waiting, though, for notifiactions to happen on the 2nd addy....I'll let you know.

This was apparently a forwarding problem with my web host provider...sorry for the confusion.

Oracleman, one o fthe things I checked was spam filters...I have 2 of them. In my case, they weren't the problme, but, in light of what you said about your site, you might want have your posters check theirs.

Nah, my mailserver is never sending anything out so it's on the server side in my case.
