View Full Version : Adjusting the amount of ammo

I'm trying to create a mod that increases the fire rate of some of the weapons and will allow a player to start with more ammo. I can get the weapons to fire faster with no problems, but the ammo will not increase. For example I changed the mp44 to start with 320 rounds, but when I run the mod on the server it seems to default to 90. Does anyone have any idea what my problem may be? Thanks for any input.

The only thing I can think of is this...
Did you take the weapons to be modded out of the UO folder and it weapons PK3 file?

Thinking I read some where the amount of fields changed in the UO
weapons. So if you were using the weapons out of the CoD main PK3 weapons file it might not work.

Just to make sure we are on same page..
"ammoName\dp28\maxAmmo\375\startAmmo\375\clipName\d p28\clipSize\47\dropAmmoMin\75\dropAmmoMax\150" (taken from weapons folder in the PK3 file, from UO folder)

Make sure maxammo and startammo are same would be my guess.

Turning off Battle Rank puts all the ammo amounts back to normal.

Correct, but it still doesn't do what I'd like for it to do. I think I may have discovered the fix for it. I'll keep ya posted if it works.

battle ranks would have been my first choice as that seems to override any ammo changes made by the config file.

i am having the same problem. I have already turned off battle ranks and increased the max ammo for all the weapons. I dont get it. Is there anything else that limits the ammo amounts?
