We are running a Windows 2003 server and CoD UO, and having a ton of lag!
Dual 2.4Ghz Xeon
1.5 GB Ram
100Mbps connection to OC48 SONET connections
CPU Utilization running at 19%
Network utilization running at 2%
I rebooted the UO server and when there were only 6 of us playing we all still had a ton of lag.
I saw the post on the front page of codadmin about having a fast enough connection, but that isn't a problem with us. We aren't running this thing on our home dsl connection.
Anyone else with this problem?

Well whats your config first off and I had a similar problem. At first it ran beautiful with 2 other servers and than ran like crap when I shut the other two off and started with punkbuster settings. I got rid of the pb settings and touched up my cfg and No more LAG....yay

Running a 26 man server. Full it was using 11% cpu and approx 125 megs of ram. No lag with pb running

I've fixed the lag issues. It was the punkbuster settings in my pbsv.cfg file. After I edited those settings, turning some things down it is running smooth as butter! :clap:

Any idea what the culprit setting was causing the problem? I'd read elsewhere it was cvarwalk but it looks like you still have it enabled.

I do have it enabled, but turned way down. Most admins have the cvarwalk set to 4.
I also changed the rate on the screenshots from 1 to 2. That doesn't seem like much but really it is about 1/2 the load. I never get a corrupted screenshot now.
We are having no lag issues on our server at all. We had it, but the cvar walk mentioned was set to 0, and no more lag. It still does the job, just not as intense. :!:

OK, I take back my previous statement. We do have some lag issues from time to time. Its not to bad, but the server sure is not as smooth as COD was. I have seen issues of lag with just a few people on, but I have also had 20 people in playing fine. Strange. Very strange.

Please try and not post the full MD5 checks for everyone to read. There are cheaters also looking at these forums. We give them a upper hand when they know what we are looking for.

What like they can't dload the free and available application from evenbalance and run them for themselves?
I didn't post any MD5 checks that aren't standard game files

NP, I'm not offended its just that if they can figure out how to write an application to cheat they can certainly create a config file to create a MD5 hash using PB's application.
The name of cheats should never be published because people that don't already cheat may become curious and search for the cheat name and then utilize their newly found application.
