Dedicated server install help...

I am trying to install COD on a dedicated server. I have uploaded my CD images to the server but when I try to install the game it gives me an error to raise my video setting.. I can't do it cause the server has a min. video card in it. Is there a way around this ? I read a post that someone uploaded an installed COD from thier machine.. How does that work ? What about the REG. edits of the game ?

I don't think the server actually needs the reg files since it's doing nothing more than executing in multiplayer mode.

1. Install it on your machine.

2. Copy/compress the directory.

3. Upload the compressed file to your server and extract it to a directory.

4. Create your shortcuts with the appropriate settings. (eg: X:\[directory]\codmp.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec dedicated.cfg +map_rotate)

That should get you on your feet.

I have configs for the 5 different game types for download from here (http://www.delta-hf.co.uk/downloads/cod/cod_configs.zip)

You would need to alter your shortcuts appropriately to whatever config you want to actually "exec".
