I'm running a 8 or 10 player listen server and for some reason it's not visible in the list of servers when browsing. I have a router but the host PC is sitting in the DMZ so it's wide open. Also I have a friend w/ CoD and he can connect using the IP address.
What's going on here? Am I missing something from the config file to send my server information to a master server or something?
Any help would be appreciated.

When you start Cod look in the console window as it loads you will see if it is connecting with the master server. Something along the line of contacting codmaster.activision.com. If your dont see it say sending heartbeat codmaster.activision.com then chance's are something is preventing it from broadcasting to the master server.

There's alot of stuff that happens on the console window and scrolls off the viewable area rather quickly - does 'page up' work to get up to the beginning?
Also I did start dedicated and it did send contacting stuff...but of course I can play from the same PC in dedicated.

I have the same problem. In my case i saw in the console window that it cant allocate the IP port :?
Check if you have the same problem mate. You can select all "ctrl+a" and copy/paste the text to notepad.

same here. what i noticed is... when i start a dedicated server it says "resolving with codmaster.activision.com" or something like that. then it gives me a port # from the master server. when i start a listen server it does not go through these steps all the time. maybe 1 in 10 trys. when it does go through those steps i can be seen in the server list, and when it doesn't... nothing.
