Here is one feature i loved on MOH and that nags me on CoD:
Weapon Bob!
In MOH my weapon moved up and down while running, but in CoD i feel like flying through the map for my weapon doesn't move in a realistic way.
OK, so i edited the config.cfg in SP and added the following:
seta cg_bobamplitudestanding 0.03 - that did it for single player.
So did i for the config-mp.cfg. With the result, that if i started a server, my weapon bobs (by the way i had to increase the value for MP to 0.5)!
But here is the problem: Every time i join an internet game, my "bob-settings" don't work and my config-mp.cfg is overwritten. Even write-protect it won't work.
It makes me :x to fly through the maps. It is so unrealistic!
Is there a possibility to force my settings in internet games? Will there be a patch or something to fix it?

Might have something to do with the server overwriting your config to force all players to same settings. Maybe if you set the bob on your server settings instead of client you will have better luck.

I've been trying this out on my server too.

When you first join a server the cl_bobamplitudestanding settings work, however on a map_restart it is automatically reset to the default 0.007.

Attempting to issue the command ;seta cl_bobamplitudestanding 0.02 results in a message that it is cheat protected.

This is exactly the same as g_gravity which cannot be set server side.

I think a request to IW to make both of these available as server side commands "sv_bobamplitudestanding" and "sv_gravity" would be a good idea. I know that Scorpiomidget is working on such a mod but it'd be nicer if it came from IW.
