Perhaps something else to add to that list (other thread) of known issues.

The kill cam seems to be unaccurate. I was comparing thoughts on this with a TS server full of players (10+ that were actually on TS) and we all agreed. Using the kill cam for a means of dissuading cheating is bad mojo as it appears people are cheating when they are not. Example: I come up to a bunker a good distance from a sniper - no idea he's there. For whatever reason, he happens to move his scope right onto my position and takes me out, HOWEVER watching in the kill cam it looks highly suspicious as I couldn't see any shred of my existence where he took the shot.

Other examples given to me were those of shots through walls, etc. It would appear that the issue is that you're not truely seeing what they saw... perhaps it's just the server's interpretation of what they saw?

Would just like to say that by offering this up as a means to help against cheaters you're going to get a lot of premadonnas out there who'll be kicking people left and right with the accusations of "cheater cheater".

Well said! This is especially true with the "cheats" that are already out.

I think a lot of people are already spooked and are ready to call you a cheater without giving you the benefit of the doubt. doubt.

Nice points indeed!

I don't know if anyone else has also noticed, but it seems that some player's games are slightly lagged to others. I've noticed this on the KillCam a lot. I get killed by someone that I just saw turn a corner, but when the replay occurs, the person was at the corner before I noticed them. Hence they had seen me first by almost a full second. In several cases the ping differences between players is insignificant, yet this still happens. I don't know if it's an artifact of how the killcam action is archived, but it certainly makes me question some of it.

Man, I tell you what, I agree 100%. Last night playing, I know on my end I shot at a guy, but in the kill cam, nothing, not even a shot fired. Is it possible to put in a setting to "smooth" the clients out, just like *cough*EA*cough* put in on SH??

LOL Actually, EA can't take full credit for that. All they did was reimplement it from the Quake engine... It's funny, but the best way to fix EA's problems is to use stuff that was already in the engine.
