Installing BF3 patch

Is it through battlelog or origin? I'm stuck with the message "Game: Battlefield 3 installing game" message on battlelog, without any indication of progression, when I click on update game, it launches origin but it opens up the buy BF3 window... how did you all have it updated? should I just let that message sit on battlelog until it's done?

I had to exit Origin and login again then update started
