problems with variables in config

hi.

I have in my config:

set sv_invulnerabletime "5"
set sv_maxping "200"

and these variables ain't work. It's irritating because of spawn-killers and peoples with poor connection.

Anybody has idea what's wrong? I was trying with set i seta - no changes :-(

sv_maxping sometimes doesn't work and as far as I know set sv_invulnerabletime doesn't work unless you have a specific mod for it. The command is not active with the stock game. There are lots of mods out there that will force these to work. Check out CoDaM. It will handle this for you.

sv_invulnerabletime isn't a stock cvar, so unless you use a mod that adds that it's not going to work.

sv_maxping just sets an upper ping limit for players connecting to the server. If they ping below that when they connect to the server then they can join. This is regardless of what net settings they have and whether or not these result in a higher ping once they're actually on the server.
