CoD is Linux and Windows, although I dont understand why would you need a windows server if you can have a great Linux server.

The windows server files come with your Call of Duty game, just start up a server instead of joining a game, that's all.

Folks, this is a server SUPPORT forum. That includes WINDOWS servers. The option to run a windows server is perfectly legitimate. There is no need to question his reasoning for wanting it, save that for other whining forums at other sites. He want's or needs to run a windows server and that's that. Now please provide constructive information.
Dmort, as someone pointed out, the windows support is built into the game. The server host would need a copy of the game or at least the dedicated server files to run it. Most game hosts currently have this, however if you are using a host that does not normally support CoD, they may not, in which case they will need to get them. Whether that is through you or someone else. I would think if they are going to be supporting more CoD servers they would invest in a copy of the game.
Are you running this through a gameing host?
