NOT CoD BUT! I REALLY NEED HELP! MY RECYLE BIN WONT WORK!

I Cannot delete ANYTHING! at all... when i open my recyle bin it shows a flash light rolling around and somtimes sees a folder... and just does that.... if anyone can help please email me...

Have you tried right clicking on it?

Right clicking on the recycle bin will give you several options, one of which is Empty Recycle Bin (or if you have nortons, Shred Recycle Bin).

Never format any of your drives unless you know what you are doing.

Telling someone to format C: is not cool under any situation. Those types of jokes need to be left out of this forum. Joke or not, it is very uncool. To the point of being punished here.

As for seeking help with your problem, the Windows data base does provide alot of troubleshooting tools. Right clicking on your recycle bin should give you the option of emptying it. As for the flash light, this could mean a few things, one of them being that your system is all worked out.

Not knowing your system specs....do you perform regular maintanence on your system? ie; error checking and defragmentation? I would recommend you do this at least once a month. This could fix your problem. Access it by right clicking on your C drive select properties and click on Tools. You should have the option of selecting error checking and defragmentation. Do the error check first, this may require you to restart your system. Also make sure it has the fix all errors enabled.

Once this is done, run a defrag, and ensure your Screen saver is off, (it can restart your defrag over and over again.)

So try that and see what happens.
