Will you play the new Medal of Honor? Yes but still want Allied Assault reboot (AA roots/gameplay, tools, servers, community)

Which was your favorite MoH and why? Allied Assault - it was the first MP FPS game I played and I enjoyed it at the time.
Will you play the new Medal of Honor? Probably as I have it pre-ordered but I dont think I will play it long as it doesnt look or play great from what I have seen in the BETA.
Would you like more Medal of Honor videos? Not really bothered.

Which was your favorite MoH and why? AA - Simplicity, Moddable with tools and the scripts were fun to tinker and tweak. Still do!

Will you play the new Medal of Honor? For the SP Yes, because of pre-order. Hope we do not get surprises like ROBOSURGENTS. MP, well they have a lot to prove.

Honourable mention for the Single player on Pacific Assault, the best MoH SP. The Pearl Harbour section is worth installing it just for that. Also things like shooting the tops off gas bottles to have them shoot off in to hordes of Japs. Having the Japs screaming into you if you push too hard. Anyhow install the old game and run through the single player, it looks good on modern hardware too :)

Which was your favorite MoH and why?

MOHAA hands down, still one of my all-time favorite shooters, had more fun with this one than all the COD's combined, and I really liked COD.

Will you play the new Medal of Honor?

Still on the fence, the more I played the beta, the more I missed lean, just no excuse to leave that out, I dont think 8 MP maps are enough, don't fix what isnt broken, client side hit detection if they want to compete with similar infantry shooters.

Would you like more Medal of Honor videos?

Don't care for them, spend the time blogging about fixes that are being implemented from the beta feedback, progress reports would be nice.

Medal of Honor (PS1), MoH:Underground (PS1), MoH:Allied Assault (PC), MoH:Frontline(PS2), MoH:Spearhead(PC), MoH:Breakthrough(PC), MoH:Pacific Assault(PC), MoH:Airborne(PC) Note: I also have MoH:European Assault(PS2) and Vanguard(PS2) but I haven't played much of them.


Which was your favorite MoH and why?

MoH:Frontline for storyline (SP) and MoH:Breakthrough for online (MP). Got into the modding scene and I still mod/play BT to this day. Note: I started building PC's just so I could play MoH at home (I was a Mac guy up to then) and I purchased a PlayStation 2 just to play MoH:Frontline when it was released.


Will you play the new Medal of Honor?

No. Maybe when it's $10 to look at the SP.


Would you like more Medal of Honor videos?

Always. One day they may produce a game I am interested in buying again.

Damn, I really miss that sweet music. Allied Assault was the reason I got into PC shooters in the first place. Playing AA / Spearhead & CoD1 are still, to this day, the most fun I've experienced online with a FPS. Wonderful clan games for their time.

I agree with Rudedog. I would love to see AA or even CoD1's gameplay return with updated graphics, standard tools, and real dedicated servers. Unfortunately, I don't see such a game anywhere that will come close to replicating that feeling or environment again. :( What kinda saddens me is that those games are seen as outdated by many of these achievement / trophy loving, ranking / challenge pimping, matchmaking / P2P / playlist begging, killstreak / perk / create-a-class junkies who need that superficial fix to give meaning to playing a game that should stand on its on. :salute:

The new MoH is nothing more than a game bearing the name of its predecessors; no resemblance at all. Battlefield: Modern Conflict would be more appropriate.

I also just cant understand why EA doesnt remake AA or BT. For sure it would be a GREAT sucess. But that wish will never come true in our liftime.

It would be nice if they just patched the old games so they would run on new hardware. A new installer or something, load the old disks in, run the new installer and bingo! It could have to do proper anti cheat and stuff. Get EA to treat MoH like Valve dose with Counter Strike 1.6

Last year they sold a box set of all of the old games bundled, they didn't pre-patch the games! not even sure if they had the patches on the disks! They just bunged the old ISO's in a new box!

This game is what got me started playing on the pc . The single players were top notch and the mp was very very addictive at the time. I used to play on dial up and it was still a blast back then. I played MOHPA but didn't like it as well as the first. Back then an expansion pack was really a new game and well worth every penny. If the new MOH gets very good reviews I might get it and try it. I'm with Rude : they need to redo AA with the latest and greatest stuff without all the bugs. Then they might really be able to be number one again.


I tried MOHAB also but didn't feel it was worthy of being in the same paragraph with the others.
