Have a problem with Modern Warfare 2? Want to leave some feedback for the developer. Well now you can leave them a voice message. IGN talks to IW's 402 regarding his idea to let people leave feedback and suggestions via a dial in phone number.
If you're interested in letting your voice be heard at Infinity Ward (http://games.ign.com/objects/550/550008.html), call or text (402) 500-0119. You can also follow Infinity Ward on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ModernWarfare2) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/fourzerotwo).
"My approach to community relations has always been accessibility. An open voice mail, in addition to the rest of our online presence, allows just that," Bowling said. "It's about having an ear to the community and listening to as much as possible."
I guess if someone actually replied back to their customers they would not need another way to contact them... welcome to 1989.

Rofl is he serious? When was the last time he listened to the PC community?!!
Ring Ring. "Hi 402 just thought I would let you know firstly your an idiot for this idea as you have been blatently ignorant to the PC community and secondly MW2 has no dedicated servers!"
Sorry Rude but this guy makes my blood boil. Especially when he comes up with drivel like this.

Modern Warfare 2 just recently received playlist updates, adding Barebones Pro and Objective Barebones Pro. Bowling said the feedback line will only continue to help plan additional content for the game.
Playlists suck
"This was all something I wanted to ensure we were getting a lot of feedback on, from as many of our users as possible," he added. "It helps not only plan post-launch support but also get a good gauge of what we did well with Modern Warfare 2 as a whole and what we can improve on." Post-launch support? There was post-launch support in MW2? There should have been a small city working on this game post-launch as much money as they made.
Way to work on those IWNet features IW, like possible mod compatibility, making the game more competitive friendly, etc. I guess it was too cumbersome to bother adding /record.............LMFAO
Bowling said the voicemail idea came about after realizing that they broadened the feedback each time they lowered the barrier for entry.
"Forums worked great for your hardcore users, Twitter is great for an even broader audience, Facebook opens it up even more," he said. "With a direct line where you can leave whatever comment you wanted essentially eliminates the barrier of entry completely and allows anyone to become a participant in the conversation." So what he's essentially saying is not only are they tired of hearing from hardcore fans, but they got sick of the more casual fans too. Now they want to scrape the bottom of the barrel and converse with the least experienced FPS players out there, the lowest common denominator, or the gamer that prefers Halo but played CoD once.
Hahahaa, f-ing brilliant IW. Let's have a suggestion box for complete noobs so they can have a say what features go into our next game.

That's it, for their next game, Rob Bowling can attache a suggestion box to the door of IW in LA.
To leave feedback you'll fly out to LA and drop your suggestions in the box. Paper and one pencil (firmly attached to said box) will be made available to people who have not purchased or are not interested in IW products.
Hey Activision has stated (need to find the link) that they have fallen behind in the communications with their customers (thank 402/JD2020) and they need to improve. I guess this is 402's way of thinking way outside the box (pun intended).
sounds like one of those "call me to have some fun" phone line.... :X

Actually, my 16 yr old son got through to someone there at IW yesterday. Being a 16 yr old he didn't ask who it was but asked if they were going to have dedicated servers...The answer: NO...NEVER...What were they going to do about the hacking? The answer...Nothing...that's Valve's area with VAC...What else is coming for the game? The answer...More map packs, playlist changes, and maybe choosing the map you want to play instead of the game choosing it for you...
When I tried to join a game yesterday...here's what I got...

Could you twitch on that Cancel button a little faster, just in case it does start to connect?
Actually, the phone message thing is a stroke of genius. This way people can't see what others are complaining about. It's like a forum autolock and post delete function all rolled into one. -NVG3D- And for the few who still pay for long distance (or for overseas customers) there is the added disincentive of cost! GENIUS!!NVG_sideNVG_sideNVG_side

Multiple thoughts go through my head on this one:
Stupidity - What!?!?
Idiots - Okay, so you want us to call a number to give you feedback? Okaaay... then.
Funny - You're pretty pathetic, Mr. Bowling.
