2 questions Flasing text and Latency

1. I have noticed some servers have a sort of flashing text where it comes on for a few seconds then goes away and another one comes up then away and back to the first one. Any thoughts?



2. Lag since the new patch came out. Seems that a few members including myself are experiencing this lag. lasts 1-5 min on the server. Almost to the point of being unbearable. Could this be PB?

1. the flashing text thingy must be some admin tool or mod ..anyhow i dont know what it is ( altho i remember servers using that stuff on mohaa )

2. what i ve noticed is that its not the server that lagging but mostly our machines ,seems like each time i connect to my server or other PB servers.. punkbuster starts scanning/checking settings , files and god knows what in our cod folder...
.. the reason to y im saying its our boxes is cause my CPU and ram usage is much higher during the first 2/3 mins right after getting connected

ps: PB servers send info to the client machiens telling em what to do ! its not the server that looks for cheats , the server just tells your client PB to do this and that ( ie check cvars etc etc etc)

the reason so many people are lagging is the admin needs too
adjust the pb settings
ive seen some that was checking each and every setting in cod
plus screenshots key binds of all players it wont take them long too figue it out

you really on need a few of the basic checks too stop the hackers

you need too set pb too sleep atleast 500 secs
