The creator of Counter Strike has left Valve and made a new game. It's called Tactical Intervention and is about to mix things up in the CS:S world.

Counter Strike is played by an enormous number of people around the world. For most that have played Counter Strike but don't now, do so because it's not changed much and looks dated.

Tactical Intervention is currently going through a closed beta so can't be far from release.
Just to mix things up Valve has chosen now to be a good time to freshen up the original, Counter Strike. It is also going through a closed beta at the moment. A swap to the newer engine from HL2 Episode2. Also new game modes and more earned achievements also the introduction of a global ranking system with full stats

if this will be a free thing ok, but like previously said it looks pretty bad. and who in their right mind puts laggy scenes in a teaser/clip? :p

I'm with the band on this one...

The graphics engine and colors remind me of Kingpin

The gun animation looks like something that someone who has never fired a gun would make - looks like the end of the gun is exploding circa revolutionary war period weapons but on full auto.

The character animation and models look like Soldier of Fortune 1

The sounds are - probably compressed due to the video, but I think the kids next door make better noises with their armpits.

Overall... not so good.

Yeah, not very intriguing from my perspective either. However, maybe they are going for that whole "Nostalgia" feel that everyone has been so passionately clamoring for the last few weeks.

I am not looking for brownie points but Zeroy and his compatriates aka other modders have done a far far better job with their creations and this was for players of COD:WAW i.e., their vietnam mods!!!!

WTF is this, i thought well this might be good till i saw the video lmao

Infact let the COD modders loose on it and we would get a great release :)

Dice's frostbite has contrasted so definitively with other games that all else pales in comparison.Performance aside it has changed the game.

A slightly better demo/video but still the game looks old. Notice the Dogs and breakable, straight out of COD4 if you ask me ;)

Totally agree. I didn't even watch the whole trailer.
