Total War 2.3 Released - But WHERE?

The Total War support page shows it being released... all the Docs are there and linked.

The actual file download link is there but its BROKEN! Or, at least not working.....

Does anyone have the D/L of Total War 2.3 yet?

To get it from VS-UK.... is next to impossible with the registration and log-in ritual. They may be the greatest clan on earth but their setup to register to post in the Total War forum and get the file is one major task. At least for me. I've tried twice with zero results.

Almost as if they don't want old guys in there. :o

Col. Parts, where in heaven's name can we get Total War 2.3?

(btw) Col. Parts... a very close friend of mine (a computer magazine editor) is interested in doing a story on TW 2.3 and CoD. Are you interested? If so, let me know. :smile:

I've searched and searched - it is not available (yet) in any CoD D/L sections. And I'm in quite a few. :cry:

I was expecting it to be released yesterday, but we then decided to test it a bit more - expect release in 24 - 48 hrs.

BTW - don't know what the problem with our forum registration is - its as simple as they get - click I agree, fill out the form and then wait for the email to authenticate your application.

Did all that - when I clicked on the authentication URL it bounced back saying "user not recognized".

I finally gave up in desperation.

I will try again if you suggest such.

I have one small problem.... no matter what I do.... 2.3 seems to not see the new map Stalingrad. I have run out of options. Perhaps there's an entry I need to make?

Also, is it possible to have the RCON scan and show ALL maps in the main folder?

Lastly, what do I use a "0" or a "1" or what... to enable steering for the parachutists?

Otherwise, we are having a great time on our server with TW 2.3.

if you add the map to your roatation it should just work. We have it running on our server no problem. alternativly run the map. e.g.

/rcon map mp_stalingrad

should do the trick

to have steerable parachutes use the following config lines:

set vs_parachutes "everyround" // Parachute into the map. Valid values: "everyround", "firstround", "never"
set vs_ParachutesSteerable "1" // can player steer the parachute
