A new BFBC2 PC Beta client is on its way

A new BFBC2 PC Beta client is on its way.
Don't worry it is a new painless process and will not be a massive 1.4Gb download again.
Watch this space for information on fixes and how to go about getting the RC2 Client.

The RC2 contains the following fixes:

Front end:
Fixes server browser crashes. Server browser more resilient against corrupt online service data, and better support for large number of servers.
Several server browser ping issues resolved.

Windows XP stability:
Fixed crash on windows XP at end of round, exit game and display mode changes and.
Proper window style / mouse confinement when starting game maximized on XP .

Options dialog:
Mouse sensitivity setting gives more effect.
Mouse sensitivity loaded on game startup.

When I first heard of the Beta I though oh no another sales push, much to my surprise it's a real Beta with changes and patches. Nice to see it's not just a cynical publicity stunt.

We've all been made cynical by a variety of factors - me mostly by MW2. And while WaW redeemed itself they thought their "beta" was actually a publicity event. Ooops - can you say first day patch?

Just think if Treyarch was this fast. You know how big CODWAW could have been. Instead they took 6 months to fix their game. sad... Guess we are seeing what customer support really is.

Server browser still seems to be borked but the server it throws me in seems to have less lag so I guess it's an improvement.

I applaud the effort they are putting out for pc. We will see if it matters....if we matter.
