My good friends over at TMT (http://www.modtheater.com) are looking for some community help in regards to the original Medal of Honor (Allied Assault)
After some discussions with some members of the community, and after making some progress in certain aspects of the game which we have been developing lately, specially by our colleague angus_young , we have decided to proceed on our panacea to fix MOH in any possible way.

For that reason, and considering the possibility of patching MOH:AA , some time in the near future ( better later than never) once again, and after some promising advance, we would like to ask for all those people interested in the project, to post in this thread, and if you have any further question please dont hesitate to ask or pm me, or angus_young. If you have good programming skills, this is your time.
Head on over to this TMT thread (http://www.modtheater.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37384) to follow the progress or offer a helping hand.

This is a great idea, and I'm sure there is a massive list of moh:aa bugs, bigger than my xmas list, but would a custom patch not fragment servers even more (unless all use it). Anyway, I wish them luck with this undertaking.

I really hope they pull this off as MOHAA is what got me into PC gaming and I played for quite a number of years.

Although i`m a little skeptical as projects like this have been tried on numerous occations and I don`t remember any (correct me if i`m wrong) coming to fruition, gl though lads!

Though I don't understand the complexities of this .... they are making a wrapper which would inject code into the game and therefore make these engine fixes/new functions completely serverside.

The main focus is to prevent MP cheating serverside with a built in no-cham fix and shoot through walls fix. Plus other functionalities are trying to be added.

It's all very interesting to say the least. The real problem stems from the fact there seems to be few people with enough knowledge in coding to help. Usually one person has to do the bulk of the work and this is the main reason these projects fall to the wayside.

Its a good idea but I dont think it will have the effect where massive number of people will come back to play the game especially with the new and up and coming games.

CSS is 2 years newer than MOHAA, although 1.6 is older I think, by 2 years.

Either way I bought CSS when it was on offer on Steam because I wondered why people still played it, dunno why though, its awful.

Same here. I can't say it's awful (because sooo many people enjoy it), but it's not for me. It came bundled with something else I bought. Much like CoD4, I played about 30 minutes of it before I threw my hands up in disgust. Buy weapons?!

Just a little update... MOH Fix is still plugging along. A good handful of members have been contributing to the wrapper and are working to get something releasable. Consider it a MOH 1.12 patch for MOHAA, if you may.
