Need Help With an error message

I usually start a server so that myself and my brothers can play, just a 4- 6 guys. Now when I go to start it I get a message which says script compile error. When I look at the error it says cannot find 'codam\modlist'

How to I correct this. Be gentle as I am new to this. ANy help would be really appreciated.

It's because you have partial CoDaM files in your MAIN folder.

Now, how to resolve this depends on whether you want to use CoDaM or not?

My suggestion, being that it's just a private server for you and a few friends, is to remove CoDaM and play without. So, if that's what you want, do this:

1) Go to your Call of Duty\Main folder
2) Look for .pk3 files with "CoDaM" in it

Example: ___CoDaM_for_CoD1.3__.pk3, ___CoDaM_HamGoodies_for_CoD1.3__.pk3, etc.

3. Delete those files.
4. In the same Main folder, check to see if there's a CoDaM folder. If there is, delete it.
5. Try creating your server again

To prevent problems like this from happening again, I suggest you go to your multiplayer options and select NO for the "Allow Downloading" option; this will prevent you from auto downloading mods from servers you play on.
