Guys, have fun over the 09th please ask your clan for a full turn out on either your own or your favorite public dedicated servers...

The 10th is the day for some action in one final push to attract IW to answer our calls.... "The Dedicated Server Blackout"!

I could not leave without giving extended praise and my very warmest and best wishes to all who have sent me messages,
all who have posted in their forums and on their website pages... You are the TRUE Community and the future of FPS Community Gaming,

Thank-you

I am starting to wonder if someone are crazy here?

HELLO.... anyone home?

This seems more to be something IW have commed up with than the comunity against cod6 and no Dedicated servers.

Omg....
U are trying to make as few as possibel get to be able to play cod4 on the day that cod6 comes out.... well well well is my only word for this.

So lots lots lots of players will find out that either the server they play at are not there, or are empty and no one is playing.

ANd they look a litle the internet and finds out that ohh cod6 is out. coool.
Will run and buy that one instead since i cant play cod4 today.

Some people amaze me with what ideas they can come up with.

this should have been done 1 or 2 weeks ago.
Not on the release day for cod6.

If i would not have known better, I would say that someone from IW are the once comming up with this ideas. And not someone against cod6.

Cobra has a point.... a good point to be made.

The Boycott is fine - the BLACKOUT can backfire upon our effort to bring IW to their senses.

The Blackout could easily drive uninformed users to CoD6. THAT would be a tragedy.

Each to their own guys....

Im not crazy and I'm @ home.....

The many clans who have chosen to support this action have informed their communitys well in advance.
This was never going to be an event that the whole community were involved in, or something everyone supported, even if every man and his dog jumped on board it would never be that there would be NO servers available for those who wish to frag, the world time differences dictate so.

What you are in effect saying Cobra is that gamers that "DON'T" yet know MW2 (The biggest title of the year) is due for release may well run out on the spare of the moment and spend $$$$$'s on a game they had not heard of until the moment their favorite MW server went down for a few hours?

Some people amaze me with the statments the come out with.

It's not such a hard concept to grasp, no-one is forcing anyones hand or pressing buttons for you, feel free to open debate on your reasons for or against an idea, but don't make something personal bringing their mental state into play #stoop any lower?

Be civil, be mature and above all be educated and well read on a topic before you leap in to reply.

Each to their own guys....

Great concept . .. never to be frowned upon. ;)

Some people amaze me with the statments the come out with.Amazement is part of our daily lives. Its called a "learning process". As you stated above "each to their own".... fellow user statements are conceived from the heart and mind and usually made with the utmost sincerity.

Be civil, be mature and above all be educated and well read on a topic before you leap in to reply.Ahhh.... good recommendations all.... EVERYONE should follow that advice. Including you. ;)

You got me fair and square ;) My maturity sucks, I could not resist the temptation form Cobra's comment "Some people amaze me with what ideas they can come up with"

Although it could be said it was merely a poor attempt at sarcasm :D

Im all for debate and understand peoples alternate views, for example, although I am personally involved with the MW2 Boycott I can see that this could also have negative future consequences and impact upon the community.

Activision could just turn round and say, you know what, these guys don't like us anymore, they refuse to follow our lead and buy our products, to hell with them, lets not do anything more for them again and inform all our devolopers we are a console only feeder, ALL Activision titles for PC's are history.

(Which granted, they have in part allowed with MW2) ;)

A number of people in the community feel strongly about promoting petitions, events, boycott's, each idea has its merits, and each idea has its pit falls, the one positive thing that should come from them all is that they all make us a stronger, vibrant and connected community.

I'm with Cobra on this one.

My protest will be by NOT buying COD6 and NOT having any servers up for THAT game.

I'm certainly not shutting down my dedicated servers that are running well with the required dedicated files for other games.

I just don't like the idea of shooting myself in the foot.
