Is it just me or does the newest drivers suck? What are the prefered drivers? We have a 40 man HQ server and when the server is getting toward the full side, I get terrible lag. I am running 9600 XT 128mb with a 2.4 HT and a gig of ram. Also I cant play the singleplayer at all. Right after i set the radio beacon during the first mission and the firefight starts, it just crashes back to the desktop. And even that is all messed up.

Please Help. Figured this would be the best place to ask.

Your 9600 XT may be the problem - But it's likely one of the hundred of thousand other reasons for server lag. Try posting your system details.

Asus p4sdla mobo
Intel 2.4 Ghz Hyper-Thread
1024 mb PC3200 ram
Ati 9600 XT 128 mb
SB audigy Sound card
WD 80 Gb HDD 7200 rpm 8mb cache
2 optical drives
!7" Phillips LCD monitor running on Dvi

And yes I said lcd monitor, although Im pretty sure this is not the problem as it just started doing this on our large server. And I am running on 1.5mb ethernet cable on win XP Pro which was just reinstalled a week and a half ago. I have minimized the proceeses running in the background and only have two other apps running along with the game and that is rcon4COD and TeamSpeak. Both of which I have been running for a long time with no problems.

Does that help? I hope. If ya tell me its the video card I wouldn't be surprised. In that case anyone interested in buying a vidoe card? I am kind of kicking myself for not going back to nVidia. I have had nothing but problems with drivers with this Ati card. Just not overly impressed.
