Nov 10th 2009 @ Zero Hundered Hours (A day for the history of PC Gaming) and a black cloud over IW's recent ideas.
The Stand-Down has the potential to be the biggest joint effort and remarkable statment of solidarity ever seen in the International Gaming Community.
This manover will of course halt Infinity wards master servers and bring them to a stand still: They can then instantly view which ip's they have temporarily lost the world over.
IW will immediatley understand how wide spread and deep routed our feelings are.
A true testiment of our commitment and buying power.
We are not ready to give up this fight and simply accept that this is a done deal, there is fuel for our already raging fires yet.

Is the 24hr stand-down something I personally feel will hurt IW or Activision? "NO" Probably not in the long term NO...
So what's the point of the server stand-down? What will it acheive?
The point is that on the day IW launch MW2 NOV 10th 2009 'A day for celebration for IW' WE as the PC community make clear and show our ill feeling towards their anti PC movement.
The point is that on the day IW launch MW2 NOV 10th 2009 'A day when they crack the champagne and toast to planned record sales' WE as the PC Community take action to place a huge shadow upon their celebrations.
Lets put this another way, if we pull this off on the 10th IW's big press day will be severely hampered with the negativity of our stand down... Headlines reading perhaps: Infinity Ward release MW2 But the PC Community are having none of it!
The 24Hr server shutdown, will emphasize to IW : IW-Net & Activision just how widespread our feeling is, it is simply not about our comminity trying to hurt them, its not about an attempt to damage their operations in any way. We love and cherish what they have given us in the past that's why we are here today, we should maintain our upmost respect for that.
24Hr shut down 'is' the most direct route into IW's PC side infasstructure, the IP's that drop their connections (our servers) that usually show our locations around the world on a daily basis to IW will dissapear for a 24hr period. As the global clock hits 00.00 in the different countries the connections will drop out. This will pinpoint exact locations to IW that are very much against their choice not to provide us with dedicated servers.
