http://www.fourzerotwo.com/... (http://www.fourzerotwo.com/?p=745) - This will give #MW2 (http://twitter.com/search?q=%23MW2) PC players a better idea as to exactly why IWNET is an improvement. Details included
He explains private servers and "party groups" for clans... nothing on DLC though.
***EDIT***
Just saw that this was appended at the bottom of the GameInformer article on the front page, sorry.

I just cannot bring myself to believe what he says any longer.
I'm sorry But fourzerotwo has lost all his credibility in my eyes and i know i'm not the only one.
This Iwnet HAD to be getting developed for quite some time, hence the silence. I cannot honestly believe for one minute when he gave this interview on Sept 22nd.
Shack: By the way, have you changed the way multiplayer games function on the PC at all?
Robert Bowling: PC will be the same as it always was.
Shack: LAN support as well?
Robert Bowling: LAN support, yes.
This was reported by shacknews. http://www.shacknews.com/featuredarticle.x?id=1200that he wasn't fully briefed and well aware of the direction IW was planning on taking and Knew at that time dedicated servers were not on the table. But he mislead the pc community IMO completely with his statement, Nothing about Pc gaming is staying the same with this system but he alluded it was. He can claim its open to interpretation, but in the end My opinion is he wasn't being truthful when he made this statement.

I think he is full of shit.....dont be surprised that you will eventually have to pay monthly just to play multiplayer just like blizz makes WoW players to overpay to play WoW.

IMGHO IW is sticking with the console drivin IWnet due to time restrictions pushed upon them from Activision. The reason I beleive this is because; MW2 was created originally for the XBOX and now is being ported over to PC, and by the time they moved on to the PC version they didn't have enough time to change the coding and test how the Deli servers would work. Activision is known to rather release a game all glitchy rather then push back a release date.
Originally 402 said the multiplayer for PC isn't changing but that was before they started porting the game to PC, now he is singing a new tune. Which I can also see Activision telling them to keep hush hush.
Also IMHO developers have already gotten paid for thier sevices. But will get extra from the % of the sales. Since this is an Activision product and the size of Activsion they could care less of the 10-20% of sales drop from the PC community.
These are only my opinions

I think that he simply doesn't know how PC MP works. They probably told him that they were doing the IWNet thing, and he had no clue as to how that was different from before. So he could honestly say PC would be the same, since that's what he believed.
He seems to be completely oblivious to the differences between PC and console gaming (except for the obviously more expensive PCs, and the lack of Xbox Live).
