Valve has just released the Crash Course campaign (http://store.steampowered.com/news/2877/) for Left 4 Dead. The DLC, free for PC gamers, contains new maps for Survival mode and includes a new 2-chapter campaign.

Crash Course delivers new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay and bridges the storyline between the No Mercy and Death Toll campaigns in the original game. To celebrate, we are offering Left 4 Dead at 50% off for 3 days. Or share the fun - get the Left 4 Dead Four Pack and give the game to your friends.

While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns.

To celebrate the launch of Crash Course, Valve is offering Left 4 Dead for 50% (http://store.steampowered.com/app/500/) off for the next 3 days on Steam, bringing the price down to $14.99. For even greater savings, the Left 4 Dead 4-pack is priced at just $44.99.

Crash Course isn't bad IMHO.

But since this update ALL Campaigns are flooded with loads of medpacks, pills, mollys and pipes - that really sucks. I especially dislike those medpacks found inside the levels (those in the saferoom are OK for me) because they just "nullify" any damage the infected have done to the survivors so far.

So it doesn't matter if your team almost died before you found new medpacks, or if you were good enough to don't even need them when you find them! You just get the same points in the end. That sucks.
