The only way i know of to do such a thing would be the obvioius answer of turn off voting period.

set g_allowvote "0"
set scr_allow_vote "0"

add those to your server cfg to do so.

Ok, thanks for your help , but i had hoped it was an other way to do it, because it is very good to have the wote on

Yeah, you find out who started the vote and use All Seeing Eye or something to ban thier @$$. Set an example of him and re-join to your now more admin friendly server.

Phatty's got my answer, find out who the instigators are and get them banned. I personally never found votiing to be a good thing, but that's just me. We have it removed completely.

If you have access to the server, you can add you name and IP to an Immune list (server side only) that will prevent you from being kicked off your own server.

That only works for server monitoring programs; there's no way to do it with the server itself.

You can still get vote kicked that way too.

Today some of my clan members were kicked from our own server when I wasnt there and they dont understand how to use the ase to ban people or even kick them. How can you ban or kick them if they are not on yourserver if your using the ase?

First we must assume they know the rcon password.

Right click on your server in ASE, go to properties, where it says "rconpassword" add the password in there. Close that window, it will remember the password unless you change it.

Now right click on the server in ASE and go to "Remote Console"
This will bring up a window. From there the admin can control the server using any normal Rcon commands, including executing configs, changing maps, gametypes whatever.

NOTE - Since you already have the rconpassword in the properties of the server there is no need to type /rcon in front of every command you type since this is assumed. So for "/rcon status" you would just have to type "status" and press enter.

One other thing, since you have the rconpassword in the properties you can right click on someones name and just choose "kick" and it will kick them. It's easier than bringing down the remote console. Although there is a ban command there, it does not function so don't bother. Use the remote console for all your other rcon/admin stuff.

Hope that helps.

sup killaz

I have recently used the commands to disable voting for the fact that im tired of being kicked but it seems that players can still type the vote in console to call it and I am still getting kicked. Is there a way to ultimatly not be kicked. You would think rcon is immune to this but they are not. I have looked for that file mentioned earlier to add my name and IP to the list and make me immune and I cannot find it. Let me know if there is finally a solution to this...Thx

Voting is only truly disabled when you have BOTH voting cvars set to 0:

set scr_allow_vote "0"
set g_allowvote "0"

I have an issue with people voting out my clan members on our own server. Guess I will have to shut off voting as well. I would prefer to leave it in and make my clan members immune, but I guess this is not an option. 8-(
