Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/5330216/ea-boss-not-yet-ready-to-talk-about-next-medal-of-honor) is reporting that EA's CEO John Riccitiello was overheard on a conference call saying the following:
Riccitiello said the next Medal of Honor game is "somewhere out there," but that executives on the call were "not yet in a position to discuss specific plans but will do so in due course." A modern day update to the series was rumored last year, when an alleged survey for Medal of Honor: Operation Anacoda made the rounds.
I think we all knew there was going to be another Medal of Honor game. The big question is, will anyone buy it?

What will EA have to do to convince their past customers to buy this version?

Release an MP demo well in advance, and have a price tag no greater than $29.99

Hi,

I did buy Airborne based on it being called "MOH" after being an avid fan of MOHAA. What a mistake.

I think i`ll wait a long long time and want to see a mp demo like Number7 suggested before parting with money.

I'd even be willing to pay more for an MP demo "well in advance", Mike...;)

Try taking a page from Valve and actually listen to your (potential) customers about what they want to see in the game then release numerous patches to address the feedback from those customers for free instead of one patch every 5 months that addresses nothing the players even asked for like:

fix xxx--- corrected the spelling of Electronic Arts in opening sequence of game. :p

Here's a strange marketing ploy for EA, how about a game that actually works out of the box!

Stuff it with a $50 bill and I may at least look at the box.

You are assuming they would even consider a PC release. :p

Well if it is called Operation Anaconda then we should be talking whether or not it falls into that "too soon" category. That was the name of U.S. military/cia operation in Afghanistan in 2002. I suppose the Black Hawk Down games came out rather quickly after that ordeal, but I am just not sure about a classically WW2 series going this route....Here's the wikipedia link for the lazy folk.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Anaconda

Perhaps they will go the safe route and make it about the famous Anaconda Plan from the American Civil War. I think MOH programmers might be able to actually handle the excitement of sitting on a ship in a naval blockade with the occasional excitement of stopping Southern smugglers.

I am still waiting on Tech support to fix my CD Key issue with MOH Pacific Assault game. Maybe it will come out with their next title.

Medal of Honor Airborne was okay for about 2 hours of multiplayer play and single player was kinda of a waste of time.

I think they should name the next one "Medal of Horror"...

EA games fooled me twice with Pacific Assault and Airborne. I will not buy the next MOH game even if it is free. I will wait and continue to read these forums to see what all the other admins think about the game, and if by some chance the game is the best FPS ever created by man, I will still not consider purchasing it. Good Job EA Games!

I will not buy another MOH game unless EA sells the rights to MOH to another developer such as IW.

Unfortunately, the "Big Time" Publishers like EA, Activision and their ilk, seem to have "slick" in their pockets. They have forgotten genuine, honest to goodness business practices.

For example;

providing reliable products
offering real and genuine value
providing quality after-market support
ensuring the customer always comes first.

An MP demo "well in advance" for any price will never happen. They have too much to hide. Instead, the hustle-a-buck scam dealio is always ON.

Seemingly, they've adopted a new marketing credo; "Hooray for us and screw you!"

I should have learned my lesion with "Pacific Assault" Good Single player, crap MP game. But no when "Airborne" came out I was there on day one. This time the Single player was also crap along with the MP being crap. To add to the insult of the game being utter crap we had no way of running a server to play our crap on. The final nail in the coffin for me is that the game installer has a bug. If you run an Nvidia card you can not install the game. (to have to uninstall system files is unacceptable)

So will I ever pay for a MoH game ever again?

Never on day one
Never at full price
Once it have been favorably reviewed by people I trust
Once it has been patched

If the game is good I'll play it for a few years, what's a couple of months at the beginning? How many times have you read that industry won't install the newest version of Windows untill SP1 is out? Well we should take the same view with our games. Don't buy it untill it's fixed! How much will we save?

"lesion" - that is WAY TOO FUNNY !! thats not a slip but the truth !! MoH:A is a scar that very few of us will ever forget

I'm done with EA - I'm done with A/Blizzard - the manner in which MW2 is being pushed .... stinks !! The pc gaming industry model isn't a sustainable elective entertainment option for me anymore !

lol....
